I looked in my front with widened eyes. That voice ringed in my ear and made me watch the thing that happened in front of me.I gasped shakily when I found one of the officer’s hands was bleeding now. She had fallen on the ground while the other officer was crying hysterically, holding her hip.I watched them helping each other and when I eyed my mother, she told me that the camera had exploded in that officer’s hand. The other officer, who was walking next to her, also injured the outer side of her thigh and hip in this incident. And that is what struck my head badly. That the camera was no more. The evidence is no more. Means, catching the culprit will be hard for them and what else? Will I never be
“Smart girl, I like it.” He cooed, whispering into my ear.I squeezed my eyes shut in despair. I did not know why this was happening to me. I did not know why this person was playing with me like this. I was scared, trembling. Yet he chose to harass me, ignoring the change in me, which was clear like a reflection in the mirror. His hand, which was clutching my mouth and nose, moved slightly down. He let me breathe through my nose and I was grateful for it. But not to him.“Now, tell me, Alessandra, why did you do that?” His whisper sent a chill down my spine. Even in this low voice, he was able to hold a threat in it. Like harmful smoke. But I could not understand him. What did I do? I was confused as hell.
ALESSANDRA“Come in.” The small but deeply vibrating voice called inside. I sighed and then pushed the door open. I peeked inside and found him sitting on the chair already. He was reading a book and did not even glance at me. “Morning, Hades.” I stepped inside, pushing the door closed. It made no sound and then I walked ahead. I stood in front and fortunately he looked up at me. “Morning, psychiatrist.” His brow cocked as he wished me back. I sat on the seat and my shoulders dropped down as soon as I took a seat. I was relaxed when I sat silently. To be honest, I did not want to work today. My morning was not very good. In the morning I got information about someone’s death. Okay, it was an animal, yet it was not something good to hear in the morning. Especially when I know how that bitch died. I knew that that crazy person had killed her. And my night was not peaceful at all. I could not sleep the whole night. After he left, even though I went to my room, I could not even close
When I opened my eyes, I felt something soft around my face. The fabric slightly brushed against my cheek when I pulled it closer. Now I was feeling fresh. I slowly opened my eyes and then looked around. My swinging senses jammed the moment I recognised I was not in my room. I hurriedly got up and looked around. My eyes immediately stopped on the man in front of me, who was already staring at me, and then my mind recognised everything. “What’s the time?” I asked him as soon as I realised I slept in the middle. “Here the watch is only on your wrist.” I realized that there is no clock in any patient’s room here. I raised my hand to glance at my wrist watch. “Oh no!” I palmed my face when I saw it was four, twenty. “Why didn’t you wake me up?” I looked at him. My brows creased as I was annoyed by this. “It is probably a sin to break a deep slumber.” He shrugged his shoulders. “This sleep isn’t more important than my job!” I cried out, clutching the soft quilt. “But no one came he
ALESSANDRA“Ms Irad, when we saw the CCTV footage, we saw that when you were in the restroom, no one followed you and then you came out of that room alone, scared.”My lips slightly parted when I heard her. I was shocked. My slightly widened eyes were giving her some clue that I was not able to believe her. Of course, how can I! I am not a stupid who shouted for no reason! I literally felt someone’s presence there and the person assaulted me!“If you want, you can watch the CCTV footage for once.” She even turned her laptop’s screen towards me. I looked at the screen, calming my mind full of questions. With my eyes narrowing, I could see what was really happening there! No one followed me.&ldqu
“Aye, Allie! Morning!” I heard a loud chirp, echoing through the large lobby as soon as I entered the building. I looked in her direction, trying my best to pass her a smile but failed miserably. “Morning, Ara…” I sighed. “Hm…and?” She wiggled her brows, making me frown. My eyes slightly squinted as I did not like her behaviour. Was she trying to flirt with me? Because I do not see she can tease me with anyone right now. “And what?” I arched my brow, folding my arms over my chest. “What?” She gave me a horrible look. Like a girl in Japanese manga. I could see a blue patch on her forehead. “Have you forgotten? Really?” She exclaimed, eyes widened like saucers. Forgotten? Hearing this word, I forced my mind to think from every corner. What was I forgetting? I applied some more pressure on my head, corrugating my brows and thinking deeply. She was watching me with hope in her eyes and as soon as I got the point, she nodded her head, urging me to say.“Happy birthday, Ara!” I uttere
“I can help you with that aunty…” I got up, helping her in holding the huge tray which contained many dishes. “Thanks, sweetie!” She chirped and at last we put it on the huge table. It was Ara’s room, in which all of us celebrated. The celebration was over and now it was time to eat something. Well, everybody danced and enjoyed themselves in their best way and fortunately I could also enjoy it here. Ara helped me in coming out of depression. She danced with me and even cracked some stupid jokes to cheer me up. Just look, she does not even know what is running in my life, yet she tried to appreciate me. She does not even want to see me silent and sad. And that is how she made me forget almost everything that happened to me today. I was literally angry with that officer but now my mood was fine. “There’s no wine! Lemme take it…” She noticed and then walked inside the kitchen. Her mother followed her and I flobbed upon her bed, exhaling finally. “She moved on too fast, didn’t she?”
Maybe even her body was not in her control because seeing him through the mirror, she started shaking her head no. She could not understand why she was shaking her head no, even though the man was not going to get out of the car and leave her alone. He was here for her only. So why would he leave silently? She could not believe that he was still here with her. She could not even call it a nightmare. “Missed me, baby?”Her ears revived as soon as his deep alarming voice fell in her ears. He mused as if it was like a game for him. A game of scaring people around. It was a disgusting thing how he managed to enjoy scaring people around but she was too busy to react to it. Fear was the only emotion which was settled deep inside her nerves. Her widened eyes and trembling hands on the steering wheel were the things he enjoyed the most. His voice almost gave her goosebumps and his hawk-like gaze even noticed them. “Tell me, sweetie…” He then slowly brought out a knife from his behind and
