YOU ARE MINE 

**REBECCA'S POV**

I starred at my hands in total disbelief, wondering if this is real or just a dream. Perhaps it's actually a dream, a crazy one and I would soon wake up disappointed but this felt real. Who would have thought my normal life would turn paranormal in a blink of an eye. There's definitely more to Rebecca that I am yet to uncover and this man, this demigod of perfection might be the key.

Yes, I felt angered by Tyler's presence but that was only because I had Rebecca's memories. If I had met Tyler back when I was Ginger, then I would have melted at his mere presence. He wasn't good to Rebecca and I hated men who disrespected women regardless of their social standards but that didn't change the effect he had on me. 

Tyler kept glaring at me, waiting for a response as to what had happened earlier but even I didn't have an answer. I was just as confused as him and wanted explanation for all that is happening.

I needed to know how I ended up in the body of another and how I can get back to my body. I needed to know whom Rebecca was in the past and her relationship with Tyler that made him treat her like a slave. Also, I needed to know what happened to the real me and wether or not Rebecca's soul was in my body but who could provide the answers to my questions? That too, I didn't know.

“Why would you kiss me without my consent?” I asked Tyler, shoving all the unanswered questions aside and focusing on the present. Even with his hard glare that turned him into a full predator and I his prey, I couldn't stop my heart from racing. It wasn't out of fear since I wasn't intimidated by his murderous gaze, or so I thought but out of lust. Something kept pulling me to him and I hated to admit the fact that I was attracted to him. I suddenly wished he had treated Rebecca better in the past, maybe then I would have embraced this feeling with joy instead of getting irritated by it.

“That is not what I asked you Rebecca. What did you do to me?” Tyler asked and his current expression gave me little goosebumps. In the past, i could never get intimidated by a man since I had money, fame and power but I guess all that is gone now that I'm Rebecca.

“I'm just as confused as you are but I think you deserve it for being such an ass.” I spat at his face but regretted it seconds later as Tyler's hand grabbed at my neck, taking me away from the bed and pinning me vigorously against the wall. 

My eyes widened to an extent that I thought my eyeballs would actually fall off. I pulled at his fingers, trying to break free as he tightened his hold, choking me even more. This would have been the perfect moment for my so called powers to reveal itself but nothing happened. I was now at the mercy of this man and from his stone cold gaze, I could tell he was furious. 

“I told you to watch your words with me Rebecca or I might just kill you right here in this hospital. No one would ask or look for you since you're a nobody. You might have well just died with your family ten years ago and save yourself this embarrassing life of yours.”

Tyler's words hurt me even though I knew I wasn't Rebecca. Was this how she was being treated all through her life? I would have run far far away if I were her in the past, where no one would recognize me and start my life afresh but instead she stayed and took all this bullshit from this man.

 I might not have my fame or power but I won't let myself get belittled by anyone. And with that, I took a deep breath and grabbed at his hand but this time, I successfully pulled his hand off my neck which suprised him. His deadpan expression quickly turned into a perplexed one as he stared as his hands, probably wondering where I had gotten my strength from.

“You might have been able to bully and abuse me in the past but that Rebecca is dead Tyler. She died in that car accident and this Rebecca won't stand by and be toyed with by the likes of you.” I boldly voiced out my intentions after coughing a bit to steady my breathing and waited for Tyler's response but what I was expecting didn't happen.

I was expecting him to throw a tantrum since he obviously had a bad temper but instead he just smirked and took some steps backwards.

“We'll see about that.” He said and it sounded more like a threat than a promise.

“You can't intimidate me anymore Tyler. Once I'm discharged, I'll leave. I'll go far away from this cursed place and I'll never have to see the likes of you again.” I tried to be bold but my heartbeat betrayed me as it kept bumping hard, making me wonder if Tyler could see the movement from underneath my clothes.

“The likes of me?" He asked with a chuckle which was actually pleasing to the ears. “I can hear your heartbeat you know. You might want to level down on this bravery act of yours or you might give yourself a heart attack.” He added with a smirk and took some steps closer. I wanted to move back but my backside was already against the wall so I just stayed there, waiting for his next action. 

He leaned in towards my neck and the feel of his hot breath on my bare skin made my legs go weak. How could he have such effect on me? I've never been that moved by a man before so why is it different with him? 

“You can't run away from me Rebecca, especially not now we've been fated as mates.” He whispered in my ears and for some bizarre reason, I wanted him to kiss my earlobe. I wanted to feel those soft lips on my skin again but I immediately shook the feeling away.

Rebecca wouldn't want me falling for the man who made her life a living hell. She wouldn't want me melting this way or having these rouge thoughts.

“Mates? What does that mean?” I asked since I had heard an inner voice say the same thing after my skin had brushed against Tyler's earlier.

Tyler pulled away to take a good look at my face. He wanted to be sure I wasn't feigning ignorance because obviously Rebecca would know what he meant by his earlier statement.

“You really did loose your memories.” He muttered with knotted brows and sighed before speaking up again.

“It means you are mine Rebecca, forever.”
