VIOLETTE.

Three days. It had been three days since the last time I heard from and saw Noah. It had been that long since I began living in pure torture. Each day Mrs. Opiana and her people would gift another wound on my body. The luxuries I had tasted with Noah suddenly felt like a dream away.

“Are you okay? I think you should take a day off, Violette.” Diana said.

“I don’t want to get beaten again. My body can’t handle more punishment.” I replied, dragging the sack to a storage room.

“You are pushing yourself too hard. I’m afraid you’d pass out.”

“That’s good. Mrs. Opiana will let me rest if I lose my consciousness.”

Diana sighed, letting me win.

We worked together until the sun finally set. Unfortunately, I didn’t pass out even after getting so much workload. But at least today, I didn’t cross paths with Beatrice, Gina, or Mrs. Opiana. That alone was already a blessing.

“You are going to stay again, right?” Diana handed me a wet cloth.
