14. Wild Kitten

Emma's POV

Zillionth of bubbles were bursting in my belly as he said he will be there for me 24/7 present until dad comes back. Though it was just out of concern and a formality doing, being a second guardian. It's his duty right? To take care of me, look after me, baby sit me when my first guardian aka dad is not present. But it still made my heart delighted and warm. As the mere thought of being with him, to see him around and have his presence was itself overwhelming.

Grinning hard internally and trying my best to not show cast it out I entangled my fingers together and looked down. When dad came and kissed my head making me gaze up at him, I hugged him tight burying my face in his chest while he ruffled my silky long hair. And then I slowly craned my neck to secretly peer at Shawn and catch his glimpse which was neutral and cold like always but still it made me smile ear to ear and have butterflies.
