Chapter 16

It was already evening when Ember left the school, and the sky was painted a shade of afterglow.

She had already sent the car to the machine shop for repairs and so she borrowed a more discreet vehicle from the school’s collection.

As the sun was setting, Ember realized that there was a car tailing her when she was driving back home. No matter where she went, the car would follow her at a fixed distance.

“The netizens again?” she mumbled to herself.

She wasn’t a celebrity, so she didn’t expect to be the target of getting stalked one day.

All those so-called whistleblowers needed to do was to “expose” something, and those people would easily become their blades. How laughable.

Regardless of the outcome, they were merely tools. Ember clicked her tongue and stepped on the gas. Her car immediately shot out.
