CHAPTER FOURTEEN
I gawk at him as he keeps pacing back and forth in his office. I didn't know about his office until I followed him after breakfast. I don't want to argue if he will ask me the reason for standing out of the door.
I dearly wish to go in but I need his permission. I jump as he towers over me and clears his throat.
I gaze up at him, "Hi," I smile nervously.
"Do you need anything?" He asks in a low and soft voice.
"Yeah! Can I sit with you?" I clear my throat, "I won't disturb you." I mutter, lowering my chin. My heart begins to ripple in my ribcage.
With bare feet, I'm never bothered but he's too tall. I'm terrified of being alone and he didn't need to know this.

The night sky is clear and full of stars. The door cracks open. I don't look back and move away from the window. "My parents are coming tomorrow," He says, making me jump on my heels. I shoot my gaze at the door. Which was closed. Luce is standing behind me, "They were coming this weekend." I say. "Some changes in the plans," he says, shoving his hands in his pockets. I put the curler down and look at myself. The lack of sleep could be seen on my face, eyes looking lazy, skin pale. The dark circles are forming under my eyes. I move to the window.
