Chapter 13

I stumbled out of the lawyer’s office in total shock after the reading of Max’s will.  Either he hadn’t thought things through or he expected that he’d  have time to change his will in the future after we’d started a family or – more likely - he thought that I’d die before he did.  Whatever the  reasoning behind his creation of such a will, I’d probably never know since Melissa insisted that he was off into the wild blue yonder with her and there was no ability to connect from where they were.
