Chapter 4_ His Kindness

Tina started crying again, and she wondered what she had gotten herself into. Where would she sleep? How would she get back home to face her mother? And where would she even get the transport money to return to her village at that risky hour of the night, given that it was already dark due to the heavy rainfall that made the night fall quickly?

While still lost in her thoughts, Patrick finally stepped out of his house and was shocked to see Tina still standing outside and crying. Tina was shivering due to the cold weather, and her cloth had already soaked wet, clinging to her body and highlighting her shape in his view.

Patrick knew that Tina was stubborn, but still, he had to ask her what she was still waiting for. He was shocked to see that Prisca had actually left her behind, and he stepped out to ask the security man to lock back his main entrance gate. It was already past 9 p.m. in the evening, and Sharon had already called him to inform him that they wouldn't be arriving home.

At first, Patrick hesitated to speak to Tina because he knew she was stubborn. Instead, he walked past Tina, instructing his security gateman to close his house gate. This was because Sharon had already called him on the phone to inform him that she was staying at the hotel they had visited. As Patrick walked past Tina, she shivered in fear. She immediately shifted backwards, not expecting anyone to walk past her. However, upon realizing that Patrick was the one and that he was also leaving the house, Tina immediately called him back, saying, "Hello, excuse me, sir!"

Patrick paused, his gaze returning to Tina as he heard her sweet voice. Tina immediately looked down, unable to meet Patrick's intense gaze. She remembered her past rudeness towards him, and she was unsure of how to ask for his help again. She needed money to transport herself back home, but she was hopeful that she would see a bike to take her home by that time of night.

"Wait! I'm coming first." Let me instruct the security gate man to close the house gate for security reasons, as Sharon and Prisca will not be returning. Tina's gaze met Patrick's as he addressed her.

"Okay," Tina gulped as Patrick left her. She watched him walk up to the gatehouse to instruct his security guard. She stood and continued staring at him until he returned. He then said to her, "Honestly, I thought that you'd already gone home with Prisca and Sharon." I'm quite surprised to still see you here, which means that Prisca actually left you behind. Why not come inside and wait, as you will be feeling too cold by now, and I don't think Prisca will still be returning here this night since she already left with Sharon?"

Patrick offered Tina his kindness, knowing that she might still reject it and prefer to sleep outside, but Tina didn't have any other option as she stood silently, remembering that she had been rude to Patrick before.

As it started to rain again, Patrick drew closer to her and asked, "Ain't you going to say something, miss?"

"I.. I.." Tina shuttered as she met Patrick's dark, handsome gaze.

Tina said, "I wanted to ask you before if you could help me with the transport fare to go back to my village, but I don't even know my way back." Could you assist me with both the transportation fare and the directions? I've never been to this area before, and my mom will be worried and searching for me if I don't return home this evening.

"Hmph," Patrick sighed, listening to Tina's sweet voice. He replied, "I can help you with directions, but it's already late. Before you reach the junction that leads down to your village and start trekking home, it will be very risky, and it's already midnight." So why not stay in for tonight? Tomorrow, I will personally drop you off before leaving for my work office in the morning.

Tina remained silent, and Patrick hoped that Tina would understand. He calmed down, as he was not happy, on seeing her sobbing, and he shook his head and walked to open the parlor door to ushered Tina into his house, as her clothes were already completely wet and clinging to her body, while bringing out her sexy shape to his view and making him a little uncomfortable too, as he actually liked Tina too.

Tina was shivering due to her wet cloth, and as she finally stepped into Patrick's living room, she watched him lock up the parlor door. As he turned to face her, Patrick said to her, "Wait here; let me go inside and search in Sharon's room for any of her clothes to give to you. Wait."

Patrick went inside, and he brought out some of Sharon's clothes for Tina to change into. After seeing that the cloth that Tina wore was already wet and dripping down the tiled floor in his parlor, Tina said to him, "Thank you, sir."

When Tina finally collected the clothes from Patrick's hand, she felt uncomfortable changing her wet clothes in his presence, so she asked him, "Can I use the restroom?"

"Sure," Patrick responded to her, prompting Tina to immediately retreat into the restroom due to her fear and anxiety, knowing that she and Patrick were the only people in the house.

Tina had no other option than to change into Sharon's gown, and after drying up her wet body, she rinsed her wet cloth and squeezed it tightly to dry it as she hung it in the restroom window. She hoped it would dry before morning, so she could wear it back and go home to her family house in her village the following morning.

Tina also took off her bra and pants too, as they were already wet, and she rinsed them out and hung them beside her wet clothes on the restroom window. As she was through dressing up in one of Sharon's gowns that Patrick gave her without wearing any pants underneath her waist or any bra to support her big boobs, Tina finally stepped out of the restroom, and feeling dread ran through her spine as she walked out back to the living room and to the parlor to meet Patrick.

Patrick had already served his dinner set before him. As he set it on a stool in front of his blue couch, enjoying the delicious jollof rice and fried fish, Patrick noticed Tina walking out. He asked her, "Will you like to join me for dinner?"

At first, Tina hesitated, but as her stomach began to rumble with hunger, she nodded, realizing that she hadn't eaten since noon when she arrived. This was due to the silly jokes Prisca was telling her at her home, and also to the fact that she was being dragged along to visit Sharon.

Patrick already knew he was dealing with a stubborn lady when he noticed that Tina hadn't drank or eaten anything since the afternoon she arrived. So, he stood up from his blue couch, left his food behind, and went to his kitchen to serve Tina's own meal. He then brought it out to her and placed it on another stool and the blue couch in his parlor.

Before the rain started to fall, Patrick was the one who cooked the meal. He knew that Sharon was lazy and wouldn't agree to cook, so he cooked his food alone to avoid any unnecessary arguments. He then served the tray of food on a stool, walked back to his parlor fridge, and took out a bottle of water for her. He returned to the stool and set it down before returning to his previous seat. He then turned back to Tina, who was still standing and staring at him.

Patrick walked back to his former seat and continued to eat his dinner, while Tina nervously sat down and replied, "Thank you, sir."

Even though Tina was hungry and the food smelled delicious, she hadn't yet touched it. She remained unhappy, wondering how her mother and siblings would feel about her since she hadn't returned home.

Patrick continued eating his meal, and as he finished up his meal, he stood up and cleared his plate to the kitchen. He returned to the parlor and saw that Tina hadn't even touched her food given to her yet. He walked up to meet her, and he sat down opposite her as he stared directly at her face, and he asked her, "Ain't you going to eat, or do you want to starve, or should I feed you?."

Tina shook her head as she stared up at Patrick's face, and upon meeting his dark, handsome gaze on her, she replied to him, "No, sir, thank you." I will eat it, but I am just worried about my mom and siblings."

When Tina finally picked up her spoon and began slowly eating the jollof rice, Patrick asked, "Don't you have a phone?" At least contact your mom and tell her that you're at a friend's place. The heavy rain fell, and you won't be able to return home again until tomorrow."

"No," Tina replied as she shook her head. She stared at her plate of food, and she said, "I don't have a phone."

"How about your mom's phone number? Do you know it off-head? "Let me assist you in contacting her over the phone." Patrick inquired, but Tina continued to shake her head, responding, "No, I don't know my mom's phone number either."

With a sigh, Patrick turned his gaze away from Tina and the television on display. Tina had finished half of her meal, and as she grew tired, Patrick became absorbed in watching his television. When the light came on, he turned his gaze back to Tina, admiring her, only to discover that she had fallen asleep on his couch.

Patrick noticed that Tina was already feeling sleepy due to the cold weather and her previous excessive crying. He interrupted her as she was about to fall asleep on the couch, asking, "You're already feeling sleepy, miss." Do you want to sleep here, as you won't be comfortable? Why not take a nap in my bedroom?
