Chapter 7 She Opened Up Her Heart

Xiyan Palace was always cold and desolate. Under the phoenix tree in the courtyard, there was always a white figure which looked sad and lonely. The figure seemed to have no soul and pitiful.

The girl was still staring at the phoenix tree with empty eyes as always. She walked toward the tree slowly. She suddenly stumbled, almost falling down. It's Yue who had been next to her that caught her and then held her in her arms.

Yue's hugging was not gentle as ordinary women’s. Maybe because of her bosom, her hugging was also not as strong as a man’s. It was a different feeling, peaceful and warm.

Ever since the little princess of the Kingdom of Shui, Shui Yinzhu became Yun Xi at the age of nine, no one had ever hugged her. She could only hug herself. It was the first time for her to be hugged in five years. The girl was touched, and she had never had such a feeling before. When she was a child, her loved ones hugged her. However, she was still too innocent at that time. After she lost them, no one was willing to embrace her again. Therefore, she did not want to let go of such special warmth and comfort at this moment. This was the original reason why she liked the feeling of being hugged. It's not about love, but a special hobby which made her rest assured.

Yun Xi was very greedy for this hug. She closed her eyes unconsciously and rested in the arms of Yue, unwilling to let go of Yue. Yue's body was stiff. The soft girl in her arms had touched her. Unexpectedly, she did not know what to do.

In the evening, the setting sun shined on these two people who were hugging each other. The scene was special and beautiful. The setting sun was a background for two beautiful girls. At this moment, Yun Xi was no longer empty. She was as fragile as a child. This was the reason why Yue didn't let go of her even though she couldn't control her heartbeats. She gently dressed the hair of the girl in her arms and then stared at her who was now very genuine.

Yue finally let go of the girl when she heard footsteps coming from a distance. She tidied the dress for the girl. Then Yuer showed up and saw the two people under the phoenix tree. She bowed to Yun Xi and then returned to her room.

If someone had to do the same thing every day, he would also want to escape as Yuer did. However, Yue was not an average person. It became her favorite thing to do that staring at this jade doll beauty who people thought was stupid and dull.

Ever since Yue discovered the subtle emotions hidden in the girl's eyes, she had been paying more attention to her. As she expected, she finally discovered it—this jade doll beauty was not emotionless. She was a person who did not want to express herself and did not want to talk. She did not want to have the slightest connection with this world. She liked to wear a white dress. She liked to stand under the phoenix tree. She was not meditating, but she seemed to be staring at somewhere. She also liked to stare at somewhere in the bamboo forest as she did in this place. In her empty eyes, there was hidden sadness and confusion.

Maybe because Yue had spent all days with this girl and she kept observing her attentively, she now couldn't help staring at this girl. This special jade doll princess had been in her mind before she noticed it.

Different from Yuer’s perfunctory attitude, Yue was treating this girl sincerely. She took care of her and did not talk much. Yun Xi had noticed such silent but warm companionship. She gradually got used to this woman who was delicate but much burlier than ordinary women. Yun Xi had grown dependent on Yue, and she still had not noticed it.

It's still the same beautiful bamboo forest. This place gradually became the daily gathering place for Yun Zhi, Yun Xi, and Yue. Obviously, Yun Zhi was kind of annoying, but the girl did not hate him. Perhaps for Yun Xi, Yun Zhi was only a little more familiar than ordinary people. He was not even her friend.

Every day, Yun Zhi would put a tea set and some snacks on the only small stone table in the bamboo forest, waiting for the arrival of the princess. At first, the girl would not touch those things. She only meditated in the bamboo forest. As time went by, she sat on the stone bench beside the stone table. She would slowly drink a few sips of tea and eat some snacks. Yun Zhi and Yue were thrilled about her subtle changes.

The three of them gathered here every day as if they had reached an agreement. In the beginning, Yun Zhi still liked to ask the girl a lot of questions. She was no longer poker-faced as before. Gradually, there were some emotions in her eyes. Sometimes she even looked annoyed. At this moment, Yun Zhi would shut up wisely. He found that the girl enjoyed the silence and she didn’t hate him to talk. However, she didn't like him to ask her tons of questions. Therefore, he stopped asking her too many questions. He began to tell her some interesting things that happened to him. Yun Zhi knew when to stop and not to annoy her.

Yun Xi was gradually fond of Yue's companionship. It made her relaxed. She liked to lean on Yue, feeling her temperature. Yue was like a guardian always by her side.

Maybe God thought people’s changeless life was too boring. Such beautiful and sweet bamboo forest time came to an end this day.

One afternoon in the bamboo forest, the sun was as warm as usual. However, there was nothing on the stone table on which a tea set and snacks had been every time. Yun Xi looked around. Yun Zhi was still not here. The girl’s eyes were no longer empty. She sensed something strange.
