Chapter: 5

"Sanjh,Did you call Abhi for lunch?"Nilima asked her , coming out from the kitchen with dishes in her hands .

"Bade maa,I'd sent Piyush to bring him."Sanjh replied while arranging all the plates on dining table.

"Look,There they are"Sanjh exclaimed .Nilima followed her gaze and saw them coming down the stairs.

When Piyush's eyes met with their gaze he showed them thumbs up as he managed to bring Abhinav.

They came near the dining table.

"Bhai,Sit with me.After a long time we will eat together."Piyush said .

Abhinav smiled as he pulled out a chair and sat on it.

Nilima came near Abhinav and started serving foods on his plate.

"Mom, I'm sorry.I shouldn't have talked to you rudely that time.Please forgive me."Abhinav  apologized for his earlier behaviour.

"No need to say sorry, son.I  didn't mind ."She  said, gently caressing his hair.

Abhinav smiled in relief .He felt as if a huge burden get off his chest.

"Do you need some more?"Nilima asked where Abhinav shook his head.

"No,mom.That's enough"He said.

"Bade maa,You forget me?I'm also here.Please have mercy on this poor child.Please give me some food"Piyush said dramatically that brought smile on everyone's face.

Nilima served him as well.

"By the way Bhai,You have an important meeting at 4 pm in Taj hotel , right?"Piyush asked

Abhinav nodded"Yeah,I  have."

"Then drop me to the office on the way .My car has gone on repair."Piyush requested him.

"Alright!"He smiled.

After having their lunch ,they both left for the office.

"By the way, What happened to the  RK group's deal?Are they giving their contract to our company or not?"Abhinav asked while driving the car.

"They didn't confirm anything  yet.They said they'll let us know about their decision soon "Piyush replied, having a worrying look on his face.

"Don't worry,You'll get this deal .After all you've worked so hard for this project."Abhinav said encouragingly,passing him a positive smile.

"I hope so,bhai"Piyush smiled a hopeful smile.

After a while  Piyush noticed that Abhinav pressing his forhead with his finger tips.

"Bhai,What happened?Are you okay?You don't seem well"Piyush asked, getting tensed.

"Yeah,I'm fine .Just a little headache."Abhinav said, giving him a fake smile.

"Why don't you take some medicine ?"Piyush sounded concern.

"Hmm,I will .Don't worry"Abhinav said"Now tell me what about the JKG group...."

"Bhai,Stop talking about deals and projects.After a long time we sat together in a car.Let's talk about ourselves."Piyush cut him off in the middle.

"Ok.fine.I'm not gonna saying anything work related. "

"That's like my bro."Piyush said as a pleased smile stretched his lips.

Both brother told about what's going on recently in their's life and really after a long time they did such  a long joyous conversation.

"Bhai,Drop me here."Piyush said  reaching to his destination.

"Okay!"Abhinav hit the brake and the car came to an abrupt stop.

"Bhai, Thanks for dropping me.All the best for your meeting."Piyush said before coming out of the car.

"And yes, don't forget to take medicine for your headache"He added .

"Yeah,I will.You also take care of yourself."Abhinav said smilingly.

Abhinav bid goodbye to Piyush and drove away to attend his meeting.

"Really,Mrs.Braganza! He told his love story to you!!"Ms.Marie exclaimed excitedly.She was feeding soup to a old lady patient.Her sudden reaction made the old lady astonished.

"Ms.Marie,Be calm.Don't forget we're in a  hospital."Mrs.braganza rolled her eyes at her.

"Oops,Sorry."Ms.Marie chuckled.

"Okay,now tell me  what did he say?When and how did their love story start?"Ms .Marie asked being curious .

"Actually I heard only one third part of their love story.So it would be better If I will tell you hearing their love story completely."Mrs. Braganza replied while checking out a patient's daily health report.

"Ohh!Okay,No problem.I can wait."Ms.Marie said smilingly.

"Okay,Ms.Marie.Now I have to go to check on the patient of room no 108  .I will meet you later."saying this ,Mrs.Braganza left the general ward.

After attending few meetings and finishing his office works Abhinav came into the hospital to meet Amaira.

"Good evening,Amu"Abhinav kissed on Amaira's forehead.

"I hope you didn't get  bored without me."he said,taking a seat on his stool just beside her head.

"So tell me how was your day?"he asked her.

"Well ,No problem.If you can't tell , I can tell you about my day,right?"He said a few moments later as he pulled a chair and sit on  it .

That day Mrs.Braganza didn't come to hear his story as she has a night shift duty.

After 6 days....

Abhinav is reading a book for Amaira when Mrs.Braganza entered into the room with a tray of medicines in her hand.

"How are you ,my son?"She asked, smilingly , walking towards the bed.

Abhinav closed the book and looked up at her.

"I'm good.How are you,Mrs.Braganza?"He smiled .

"I'm also fine by the grace of Jejus."She replied ,keeping the tray on side table.

"By the way,Where were you last few days?You didn't come to meet her!"She asked while observing her heartbeat at the monitor.

"I had a viral fever .I wasn't even able to move from the bed."Abhinav told her.

"Nowadays People are suffering badly because of this viral .Infact in our hospital ,most of the cases are coming of viral fever."She mumbled sadly.

"I hope you're fine now ?"she asked, shifting her eyes from the monitor to his direction.

"Yeah, I'm totally fine."he reassured her.

"You don't know how much I've waited for you these days.Everyday I used to come to check whether You have come or not."She said as she injected the medicine into the IV.

"Why?"Abhinav frowned.

"You forget!!You were supposed to complete your love story." She reminded him.

"Ooh!!Yes!... But you still remember that promise!"Abhinav amazed.

"Of course,I remember."she said."Hey,Are you planning to  not tell me?"she asked , raising her eyebrows .

"No!No, there's nothing like that.I don't have any problem to tell you .But you're on duty now, aren't you?"

"I will come again in lunch break.You can tell me that time."she suggested

"That will be best."He agreed.

After an hour...

"Well,This is awesome.I must say Mrs.Braganza, you're a fantastic cook ."Abhinav praised for her cooking skill while wiping his mouth with tissue.

"Thanks ,my son.I'm glad you like it."she said as she closed the lid of her tiffin box.

"But If I had any knowledge that You would come today then I would've cooked more delicious food for you."she added.

"No problem.You can fulfil your desire tomorrow ."Abhinav said, grinning widely.

"Okay,My son.I promise."She smiled.

"Okay,So ,Where did I stop last time?" pulled a chair and sat on it.

"Ooh..yes.I remember!!"he exclaimed the next second as he got remember.

"Shall I start?"He asked,looking at Mrs.Braganza.

"What are you waiting for?Just start."Mrs.Braganza said curiously.

Abhinav cleared his throat and continued from where he stopped last time."Next day I was roami....."

Next day Abhinav  was roaming in the college in search of Amaira.And when he entered into the library , he found her there. Amaira was sitting on a table at one corner of the library and reading a book.

His heartbeat got increased and his lips craved into a smile at her sight.He walked towards her and when he almost reached to her, She turned her face  towards him as if she had sensed his presense.Seeing him she broke into a broad smile.

"Abhi!!How come you're here?"Amaira asked  him  surprisingly.

She was surprised because Abhinav wasn't studious person and she had never seen him to enter into the  library for study .

"Ooh!

Actually..I am here to find a book ."He made an excuse.

"By the way ,What are you reading ?"He asked quickly before she could question further.

"I'm searching some answers in this book for our next week assignment."she said showing him the book which was she reading.

"Oh!If you don't mind,Can I help you in this ?You know, It'll be easier for me to do my assignment by helping you."He said.

"Yeah,Of course.Sit here"She said as she took her bag from the chair next to her and kept it on the table.

Abhinav sat on that chair and helped her to find her the answers of her queries..While she was busy in note down the answers in her notebook he kept a chocolate and one small chit with message in her bag.

Studying together was just an excuse. .His real motive was to keep those things in her bag secretly and he succeed in it.

Then he started  doing it every day.Whenever he found an opportunity ,He used to keep chocolate and chit in her bag.

"Didn't she notice you or ask anyone else who was keeping those chocolates and chits in her bag?"Mrs.Braganza asked Abhinav .

"No,Amu never noticed me nor did she suspect me."he said."Yeah,She asked her friends about it.But when they denied ,she stopped asking."Abhinav replied with a smile.

He continued "I secretly used to saw her reactions after keeping those chocolates and the message which I used to write in a small chit.

When she used to found those chocolate and chit in her bag,her face used to brightened with a smile.

It continued around 3 months.Around 3 months I was giving her those things without letting her know who was behind it.

Then One day,Malik asked me to meet him at the coffee shop.And he ..."

Flashback:

"I was waiting for you since so long.Why don't you come anyday in time?"Malik  said  getting frustrated at Abhinav when he came to meet him at the coffee shop.

"I 'm so sorry,fatso."Abhinav apologize as he pulled a chair and sat across his friend.

Malik let out a deep sigh,giving his friend a hopeless look.

"Tell me what's the matter?Why did you call me urgently?"Abhinav asked him.

"I've called you for your own benifit.I have an important information for you"Malik smirked.

"About what?"Abhinav frowned at him.

"Its regarding Amaira"Malik said and instantly Abhinav's face beamed with curiosity.

"About Amaira?What is it?Tell me quickly."Abhinav asked .

"I will tell you.But first order something for me.I've not eaten anything last 2 hours."Malik said making a hungry look as if he didn't eat anything last 2 days.

Abhinav did as he asked.He ordered a burger and cold drinks for him and a cup of coffee for himself.

"Now tell me the information ."Abhinav requested,burning in curiosity..

"Okay.So the information is that  tomorrow is..!!"Malik paused intentionally  to tease him.

"What tomorrow?"Abhinav asked, burning in curiosity.

"Buddy,Tomorrow is Amaira's birthday."Malik blurted out.

"Really!!!Tomorrow is her birthday!!"Abhinav exclaimed with happiness.

Malik nodded, grinning at him.

"Thanks,fatso for this information."Abhinav leaned forward and kissed on his forehead.

"Yuck!I am not your Amu.Dont kiss me that too in public place."Malik said annoyingly pushing him away.

Abhinav chuckled ,leaning back on his chair.

"How did you get to know this?"Abhinav asked him.

A waiter came to his table with the food they'd ordered and placed it on table and then left.

"Swati told me ."Malik replied , taking the burger in his hand.

"Tomorrow is a great opportunity for you to express your feelings to her.Do proper use of it"Malik advised him while gobbling the burger.

"Is it the right time for this?"Abhinav asked ,taking a sip of coffee.

"Then wait for the right time.In between someone else will come and take her away from you."Malik said getting annoyed at his friend.

"No!No."Abhinav shook his head." I can't let it happen .Tomorrow on her birthday I will express my feelings to her ."Abhinav decided.

"Yeah..wise decision."Malik prompt.

"But there's a small problem."Malik said gobbling up the rest of his burger.

"What is it?"

"Tomorrow ,She won't come at the college."Malik told him.

"But why?"Abhinav frowned.

"Swati told me she likes to spent her birthday with her family.So she won't come tomorrow and will spend the whole day with her family members."

"Shit!!How will I meet her then?"Abhinav mumbled as his face fell .Malik struggled his shoulder as he had no idea.

Both sighed and  got lost in deep thoughts about what to do.

"Got it!"Abhinav exclaimed with excitement after a minute of  thought.

"Get any idea?"Malik asked excitedly.

"Yes!"Abhinav nodded, grinning widely.

"Great!"Malik beamed with a smile.

"Amu,Tomorrow I  will convey my feelings to you."Abhinav whispered to himself, smilingly.
