Aiming For The Meat

Kelvin returned to the room only to find Aria fast asleep. She looked innocent in her sleep, like she could never hurt a fly. He watched her for a while and the thoughts that came to his mind was what could have caused an innocent little girl to grow up into a thorn. He covered her up with a blanket, but she tossed it away and mumbled something like, “call mommy”. Kelvin sighed. He could not tell if he heard properly.

All he did was try to cover her up again with the blanket hoping she won’t kick it off again. But she did the same. He decided to let her be. All he did was regulate the temperature in the room that he felt would be suitable for her. After which he walked out of the room leaving Aria alone.

He ate his food and slept in his living room. That was the sacrifice he had to make for his childhood friend.

The following morning, Kelvin woke up to a call from his mother, Diana. He picked it up with a frown on his face. He answered the phone mumbling a good morning to his mothe
