I walked into the house and slammed the front door, locking it.

“Now do you want to tell me what’s really going on” Jacob asked.

I turned around to see him standing by the stairs looking seriously concerned

“Is Zion asleep?” I asked.

“Yes, I tucked him in, you’ve got a lot of explaining to give to him tomorrow morning” he said

“I know, I’m so sorry for how I acted” I said, walking closer to him and holding his hands “it’s just that Dunlop reminded me so much of my ex-husband and I just relived all the hurt and pain at the dinner table. I’m so sorry, I couldn’t control it”, I said, tears forming in my eyes.

“I knew something was up, you should have just told me, I would have dismissed him earlier” he said, drawing me into a hug.

“No, there was no point and, besides, I’ll be seeing you more often because William and Zion look inseparable” I say tears dropping from my eyes.

“You don’t have to”, Jacob says.

“No, I have to. Besides, he’s not my ex-husband, just a reminder. I’ll get over it” I lie.

He pulls away from me and looks at me. He brings his hands to my face and wipes my tears with his fingers.

“I’ll always be here if you need me” he says reassuringly.

I genuinely smile. I’m so happy to have him in my life. I swear with my life to hide and protect my child from Dunlop by all means.

“So, remember I wanted to tell you something during dinner but due to the whole Dunlop and William invitation, I couldn’t” he says, pulling me out of my thoughts.

“Oh, yes. What did you want to tell me” I said, eager to hear what he had to say

“Uhmm.. the BLC company, after I seal the deal tomorrow to lease it from the owner, I want you to be the manager. And if everything goes well, after I buy it, I want you to be the CEO” he says casually.

“Jacob” I said, speechless.

I take a few minutes to find something to say

“Hazel, say something.”

I just jumped on him, and he caught me. I wrapped my legs around his waist and placed a kiss on his lips.

“Jacob, thank you very much, I don’t even know what to say right now, but I’m so grateful” I said, kissing him again.

He returns my kisses, it starts with little smacks until our lips are shining with our own moisture. I break the kiss

“It’s the little I could do for all the support you’ve been giving to me since I met you” he says, looking up at me.

I went down from his arms and my feet reached the floor.

“I won’t disappoint you, I promise” I said, genuinely filled with gratitude.

“I know you won’t. You’ll have to be at the meeting tomorrow, so you’ll assume your position immediately” he says, wrapping his hands around my waist.

“I can’t believe I’ll be the first woman Manager at BLC” I say, laughing “I can’t wait for tomorrow, I better go get some sleep”, I said about to run upstairs.

“Hey, you have to finish what you started”, Jacob says, dragging me back.

He motions to his lower region and I look down to see the bulge in his pants. I let out a quick laugh

“Did you just laugh at my situation”, Jacob says, smiling, grabbing me by the waist and pulling me closer to himself.

“Yes, I did” I said, wrapping my arms around his neck.

“You’re going to pay for that” he says, taking my lips.

He drops me on the bed and takes off his shirt
