Chapter 5: The Alpha's Luna

Tears slowly formed in my eyes as the alpha stared back at me. Not caring how hurt I was that he chose to select my cousin over me, two days after rejecting me, his head turned away from mine, and both his hands that were still around my waist and holding my hand stopped to touch me as well.

It was hard to take in what I'd just heard, but the sight of Addison descending the stairs in a long, flowy summer white dress and her face shimmering with makeup showcased to the alpha that she was not only with a wolf but also had the beautiful quality of a true luna, which I completely feel I lack.
