Chapter 16: Amanda's Visit

"Now I know who you are and my family was right about you," Aiden said, ending the call.

Aiden stood up from behind his desk and walked towards the window. He stood there recalling the conversation he had had with Monica. When Aiden met Monica, she never mentioned anything about a 14-year-old crippled boy. He also didn't know about her life as a stripper and a porn star.

"She heed too much from me. Why?" Aiden thought and recalled his mother's words

Aiden frowned and punched the window out of anger with his right hand. The glass of the window shattered into pieces and wounded Aiden but he was too angry to feel any pain. Aiden sat on the sofa and shifted his gaze to the bottle of whisky he had placed on the centre table. He opened it and filled his glass. He gulped down half a litre using a 250 ml glass before sipping the rest. He kept repeatedly playing the report's details and his conversation with Monica in his mind.
