Chapter 31 : Frozen Feelings

They drove home in silence, and Angela was unable to discuss what caused Leonardo to become enraged and pull them from the venue. She wasn't in the right place to inquire as to what had occurred. Only Mrs. Vera had inquired.

"Is it still early to go home, Leonardo?" Mrs. Vera wondered if anything was wrong.

"I'm not feeling well, mom." Leonardo cut her off and remained silent.

Leonardo went straight to his room and requested a bottle of wine from Angela. Angela wanted to oppose, but she knew something was boiling inside Leonardo's heart and mind, so she let it flow. Leonardo drank quietly in the corner of the room, crossing his legs on the floor.

And Angela decided to sit at the edge of the bed near the door. She kept staring at Leonardo silently, afraid to say a word that might rile his temper.

"Traitor," Leonardo murmured.

"Who?" Angela asked.
