5 #The Spark

Luna

I leaned in closer with my lips parted, ready to give him a gentle kiss. He holds my head gently in his hands, his touch sending shivers down my spine. As our lips finally meet, a surge of warmth and passion envelops us both, igniting a fiery connection that feels utterly electrifying. Slowly but passionately, the kiss deepened as his body pressed against mine, his hands exploring the curves of my back. As he finally broke the kiss, his head rested on mine, and we both caught our breath, feeling a sense of euphoria and longing.

"You can't ignore the chemistry between us," he whispered, his voice filled with desire. “Don't lie, you do feel a spark when I touch you.” I looked at him, puzzled.

I shook my head in confusion, unsure of how to respond. I know everything he is saying is true because I have also felt the intense connection between us. It's as if our souls are magnetically drawn to each other, igniting a fire that cannot be extinguished. But despite the undeniable attraction, I couldn't help but feel a sense of hesitation and fear. What if giving in to this chemistry would only lead to heartbreak and disappointment?

I don't want to lose myself in this intense connection, only to end up broken and alone again. I need to protect my heart and prioritize my own well-being.

"I don't know what you are talking about." I lied, trying to hide my true feelings. Deep down, I knew that surrendering to this connection would be a risk worth taking, but my fear of getting hurt held me back from fully embracing it.

He smirked knowingly, seeing right through my facade. "You're lying," he said softly, his eyes filled with understanding. "I can see the hesitation in your eyes." He moved his hand, caressing my cheek gently, his touch sending shivers down my spine. "But you don't have to be afraid," he whispered, his voice filled with sincerity. "I promise to protect your heart and cherish you like no one else ever could." His words touched a vulnerable part of me, but I shook my head slightly, trying to regain my composure.

"I don't know what you're talking about; we just met," I replied, my voice trembling slightly. "I don't even know your name."

He smiled softly, his eyes never leaving mine. "You're right, we just met," he admitted, his voice calm and reassuring. "But sometimes, a connection can be felt instantly. And my name is Andrew." His words lingered in the air, leaving me with a sense of curiosity and intrigue.

"Andrew…" I mumbled under my breath, testing the sound of his name on my lips. It carried a certain familiarity, as if I had heard it before in a distant memory. The way he spoke, so gentle yet confident, made me wonder if there was more to this encounter than mere chance.

I shook my head. I need to leave. I can't stay locked in a car with a stranger any longer. But as I reached for the door handle, a small voice inside me whispered, urging me to stay and explore this inexplicable connection further.

"Do you want to leave now?" he asked, his eyes searching mine for an answer. I hesitated, torn between the safety of familiarity and the thrill of the unknown.

I nodded my head, moving it to the door handle, and prepared to open the door. But just as my hand touched the handle, Andrew's hand reached out and gently grabbed my wrist, his touch sending a jolt of electricity through my body. I turned to look at him, my heart racing with anticipation.

“Why do you feel like this?" I ask, staring into his blue eyes, searching for an answer.

"Because we were meant to be together, the spark between us is undeniable," Andrew replied, his voice filled with certainty. His words resonated deep within me, stirring a sense of longing and excitement. As he moved his thumb and gilded slowly over my lower lip, I couldn't help but feel a surge of desire. The electricity between us intensified, and at that moment, I knew I wanted to kiss him more than anything in the world.

His actions and his touch drive me crazy. "What are you doing to me?" I whispered, my voice barely audible. The intensity of his gaze and the gentle caress of his thumb on my lip sent shivers down my spine, igniting a fire within me that I couldn't ignore.

“Stay with me," he mumbled, and with a devilish smirk on his face, I could feel my heart racing as his words echoed in my ears. The invitation was tempting, and I found myself unable to resist the magnetic pull between us.

“I don't want to," I said, annoyed at my weakness for him. But deep down, I knew that giving in to his allure would only lead to more heartache in the end.

“Let me go," I said firmly, trying to regain control of my emotions.

"I can't do it," he replied, his voice filled with both frustration and longing. "I need you, and I can't bear to let you slip away again." His pleading eyes bore into mine, and for a moment, I wavered in my resolve. But I knew that staying would only prolong the inevitable pain we were bound to face.

“Why?" I asked as the car started driving us to a place quite away from the rush of the big city—a place that is so open and calm, a place with all the greenery.

"Soon you will understand why," he said mysteriously. "There are things I need to protect you from—things that are beyond our control. Trust me, it's for the best."

"Yeah, right," I replied, my voice tinged with skepticism as I leaned back in my seat. The car continued to speed down the empty road, and I couldn't help but wonder what secrets awaited us at this secluded destination. Where the hell is he taking me? Don't tell me he kidnapped me or something. I thought to myself, growing increasingly anxious.

I can’t keep my eyes away from the scene in front of me; everything seems so green and beautiful. I then open my windows, taking a deep breath. God, the air around her is so clean and full of nature.

“What is this place?” I asked, turning my head and looking at Andrew. Only to find him staring at me.

“You like it?" he asks with a smile. I nod, unable to contain my curiosity any longer. "But seriously, where are we?" I inquire, hoping for a straight answer this time.

“Not everyone is allowed to come to this place,” Andrew said, taking my hand in his. “But you can come whenever your heart desires.”

"Why?" I asked, brushing my hand away from mine.

“Because humans don't respect nature, they will damage the ecosystem in this place.” He replied.

I can’t help but chuckle at his words. "Humans... don't respect nature as if you are not a human.” Andrew's smile fades slightly as he looks at me. "You're right. I’m not a human."

Well, is this guy high or what?

“Nice joke," I said, faking a laugh, annoyed by his behavior. I don’t know why, but I’m starting to regret my decision to spend the night with him.

"You'll soon come to realize who I am and what you are to me.” He said this as the car stopped. And he stepped out of the car and opened the door for me. "Come,” he said, holding his hand out for me.

"Fine, but you can't keep me with you forever,” I said, taking his hand.

My words brought his devilish smirk back to his face. “You will soon come to know... what forever means for my kind?” he mumbled, walking alongside me.

My kind…. What the heck is he trying to say—that he is an alien or what? God, I need to leave soon; he is psycho. And spending much time with him is not good for my sanity.

Who knows what is next coming out of his mouth? Who knows if he starts calling me his lover, his one and only, like stuff written in cheesy romance novels?
