CHAPTER 97

Keleigh’s POV

Throughout the day, I could not close my eyes. Even the time I tried to, only one person showed, appeared, and kept on taunting me in the name of Jake. Roman’s words kept pondering on my heart, reminding me of what he has said, reminding me that anytime from now, Jake could break in and I’ll be in extreme danger.

I sat down on my bed, staring into space as I just finished washing myself. I wanted to dry my hair but there was nothing in me. I had not eaten anything since morning, not the food they brought, nothing at all.

I fell down on the bed, closing my eyes quietly as I let the deep evening breeze blow in through my window. I needed to run, to leave this pack and find somewhere better, somewhere peaceful to restart everything.

Where Jake would never find me.

Where I won’t belong to anyone.

Where no one knew me much enough to be plotting something I had no idea on.
