His words rang in my ears and I nearly choked on my food and my eyes widened in total surprise. Did I hear him right or what?

"I'm sorry, what?" I ask, trying to process his words.

"Your eyes are beautiful, very beautiful," he repeats, emphasizing his compliment.

Okay, can someone pinch me right now because I feel like I am dreaming? This can not be happening. Austin did not just compliment me - it’s not just possible. I mean, something has to be wrong with him because it’s unlike him to compliment me or anyone else.

I don’t know what’s wrong with him but I do that something is going on in his head, because what he just said right now does not make sense at all. He isn’t this nice- as a matter of fact, he is never nice.
