Trisha tossed and turned. The bed wasn't at fault, far from it, it was the most comfortable thing she'd ever been on.
Was this what famous people did? Sleep on clouds? Because that's what it felt like. She turned over again and tried to bury her face against her hands. Maybe it would help if she was able to take this fancy dress off.
Trisha shrugged out of the folds and let the material crumple to the floor in a shimmery heap. Just being in her light slip felt better.
She pulled the covers back once more and pulled the comforter to her chin as she closed her eyes.
She was treated to a mental recollection of Logan's abs and his insistence that she should remember him.
Trisha tried to shake the image out of her mind but it stuck. All she could see was her fake boyfriend's abs. She had never considered herself a skin person, but when it came to Logan, apparently she was.
No, sleep. She needed to sleep. She opened her eyes wide and closed them tight again.
This time she remembered the conversation between Nakuni and Kanda and how they each wanted to protect her from the other.
That still wasn't enough to let her sleep. She repeated the action trying to reset her brain. She needed rest. After this crazy day sleep was all she needed.
This time the dream haunter was Ryan himself. He was smiling at her with that warmth in his eyes and that kiss he had pressed against her lips. That wasn't real, that had all been an act, he was an actor after all.
None of these men were really interested in her, and why should they be? She was an ordinary office worker for crying out loud.
They couldn't even appreciate that she was a gamer since none of them seemed to care about her precious computers.
Frustrated, Trisha got out of bed once more. She leaned over and gave her purring kitten a kiss on his soft furry little head. He just purred harder and cuddled into a tight ball of fuzz.
Trisha didn't know what tomorrow would bring, but at least she had an adorable partner to take with her. She'd have to give him a name soon, just calling him kitten seemed a bit lame.
She'd ask her guild about it later. TerrorNtheDark was one of her best friends on C.o.C and was really fond of cats in general. She'd pick the perfect name for Trisha's new side-kick.
She paced her huge room and paused halfway across the floor. Was that seriously another balcony for this room alone? How many balconies did this place have anyway?
She pushed the door open and glanced back at the kitten. He was still fast asleep, and fresh air could possibly cure her sleep issue. It would at least cool her heated flesh for thinking of all the men she had met today in any case.
Trisha walked out and the cold concrete made her shiver. The balcony was enormous. It was built for privacy too. Though it had an expansive view of the gardens it overlooked, no one could see into it.
Trisha ignored the sunning chairs and the small table set up as she got closer to the banister's edge. From up here she could see the gardens she had been in earlier with the creepy trio. She shuddered at the memory. She did not want to run into any of them again.
The lights were all off on this side of the mansion. In the distance she saw fountains wasting water as they shot high into the sky, for no one else to watch. Trisha couldn't help but shake her head.
The rich were a different league entirely. Different league, more like a different species. How much water did those things go through? She doubted Ryan even paid attention to them anymore to begin with. Just a pretty show for no one to watch.
Not for the first time she had to wonder why she had taken Ryan's offer. Besides desperation, because even desperate she had said no to things before. Was it his eyes? His smile? Something deeper? She couldn't tell.
All she knew was that she hadn't been able to say no to him. And she hadn't been able to say no to Logan. What kind of spell did these rich men have? Or was it a simple answer that she was just money hungry?
She wrinkled her nose. There was no way that was the answer. If she had wanted money she would have agreed to take the job to sabotage her former employer. No, money was not the reason for her agreement.
There was just something special about Ryan. Whenever she looked into his eyes, whenever she talked to him, she just wanted to say yes. And saying no to Logan had also been next to impossible. She would have felt like she was kicking an animal if she had told Logan no.
She leaned on the balcony pillowing her head on her arms. Off in the distance she spotted two shadows by one of the fountains.
The moon chose to come out of the clouds to highlight them but they were too far away for Trisha to make out details. The only thing she could tell was the woman's dress reminded her of a princess.
It was long and billowy, and from what she could tell, silver. She was enraptured with her date who was still in the shadows of the fountain.
Trisha had to wonder if Mr. Mysterious deserved the young woman. She was dazzling. Even the graceful way she moved and held her head reminded Trisha of a princess.
Had Ryan invited a real princess to the party? She sat up and leaned closer. The woman was pulled into an embrace and Trisha blushed as she looked away.
She still couldn't make out much of their features, but that embrace was that of a lover and she didn't want to intrude. She turned her back on them as she leaned back and examined the mansion to give them their privacy.
The wind ruffled her hair and she lifted her face toward the breeze. It didn't make her sleepier, but it did make her feel more at ease with this wack job situation.
Down below the woman whimpered and Trisha blushed again. When had they gotten so close to her? She peeked over the edge and saw that they were still some distance away, but she could see the woman much clearer now.
Long flowing blonde hair that traveled all the way down to her hips, perfectly shined and not a tangle in sight.
Seriously, how did these people manage to have perfect hair? She wanted to grill them for their secrets, but what did it matter when she would be gone so soon?
"Ryan," the husky whisper reached Trisha's ears and her eyes widened.
Wait, what? She froze. Had she heard right?
Trisha glanced over at them again. The beautiful woman was kissing the man again. Her eyes closed in complete bliss, but Trisha couldn't make out her companion. She wanted to lean closer, but that still felt rude.
And what if it was Ryan? The whole marriage was a sham anyway. Why did she have a right to get upset about it? Her gut clenched at the thought of Ryan in the arms of someone else.
She didn't have a right, and yet she still felt territorial about this whole matter. What was wrong with her? This was all crazy. She just needed to get back to her room, and leave. If Ryan really was down there, then she could leave.
The couple moved once more. The man went behind the woman pulling her to his chest and littering her neck with soft kisses. He couldn't see her, but Trisha could see him.
It really was Ryan down there with the fairy tale woman. He pulled her hair aside and his kisses became more insistent as the woman moaned at the touch.
Trisha turned to look away and deal with the shock to her heart when she heard a whimper not of pleasure, but of pain.
Once more she turned her attention over the balcony and watched. They were still embracing, but it was different now. Ryan's face was buried in her neck and the mysterious woman was whimpering.
Her beautiful dress had a stain growing from her neck that trailed down.
Trisha' brain stared at the growing stain. No, that couldn't be possible. Sure, Ryan was with a woman, probably the person he really loved. But that couldn't be blood, could it?
Had Ryan just bit that princess? The princess went limp in his arms and Ryan pulled away.
As if their gazes were magnets he looked up at Trisha and now she could see the blood over his face, and the protruding canines.
Well great, on top of everything else, she had fake married a vampire.
The woman screamed so loud that Trisha's ears rang, and then she realized that the woman below wasn't the one screaming, it was her.Ryan let his victim fall to the ground and with one leap he was on the balcony with Trisha with his hands held up. "Trisha, calm down. I can explain everything."Trisha shook her head as she backed up. "I can't! You're a monster! Nothing you explain is going to change that."Ryan didn't even wince. "You're not wrong about that, but I need you to calm down, if you don't you're going to alert others. Then everything we've done today is up in smoke. Remember, you promised to help me."Trisha didn't listen to him. She continued to back up until her back hit the balcony. "Stay away from me," she demanded. She looked behind her and winced. That was a long fall. Not something she really wanted to experience, but she didn't want a vampire draining her dry either. "I'll
Trisha looked around the wispy landscape. Had she finally managed to get asleep after so long? She didn't even remember passing out. But why were her dreams so dull and boring? There was nothing here but wisps of clouds. She would have thought she'd at least get a view of Logan's abs again or something. This was downright disappointing.A shimmer in the distance drew her and she walked toward it. The landscape moved with her blurring as she moved faster. The shimmer got stronger and when she got close enough to see what it was, she spotted a dining table set for two. Sitting at one of the seats was that Kanda guy she had met earlier. "Hello?" she called as she got within range.Just what silly adventure was her brain trying to go on here?"Trisha, it's good to see you. I was worried you might be late for our date."Date? She frowned. "I don't know what you're talking a
Kanda chuckled once more. His golden blonde hair brushed against Trisha's legs and she shivered. She was trapped, but she was beyond caring. The restraints were soft and even if she struggled they never hurt, but held strong. She had thought them silk at first, but no, these were far softer than that.He looked up at her those eyes of his meeting hers and then he pulled her lower lips apart. He studied her for so long that Trisha' cheeks flamed again. "What are you looking at?" she whispered as she tried to hide her face."You," Kanda replied. "I want to burn this image into my mind.""Stop," Trisha whimpered as she tried to move her legs. "It's embarrassing."He pulled away but didn't let go. "Are you sure you want me to stop before we even get started, Trisha? If you want we can agree on a safe word so you can tell me no all you want, but I know that you do want it. I told you I won't press
Kanda took his time, his eyes on Trisha's the entire time as that magical feather traveled up and down her body. The drips continued at a steady rate, splattering on her skin with intense heat for a moment before solidifying. He dipped his hand a little lower so that the feather was closer and Trisha gasped as the next drop was much hotter. She whimpered and tried to get away."Sorry," Kanda whispered as he lifted it again. "Did that hurt too much?"Trisha shuddered beneath his caress as his hands grazed the spot. "Be careful," she whispered. He moved the feather again, this time right between her breasts. She stared as the droplet fell and landed directly
"As you wish," Kanda whispered. He snapped his fingers and the restrains were gone and Trisha was in the middle of the bed on all fours as he knelt behind her. "You're so beautiful," he whispered as he pulled her back and kissed the back of her neck. His hand snaked down between her soaking wet legs and he started to move his fingers in a circular pattern as he kissed and nipped the skin at the nape of her neck.He pulled her to him and bit, not enough to hurt, but just to the point that Trisha lost it and thrust back against him. She reached for his head and pulled it down harder against her. "Harder," she whispered with a moan. For reply Kanda gave her soft butterfly kisses as he pressed his rock-hard dick against her, l
Trisha woke up with the slip between her legs and completely soaked.Trisha slipped out of bed and walked around the room. That had been a hell of a dream. Her whole body still quivered everywhere Kanda had touched her. She put a hand to her chest as she took a deep breath. A soft knock on the door made her freeze. Wait, what time was it even?"Mistress? It is morning your breakfast is waiting for you downstairs. Are you in need of anything?"Trisha looked down at the slip and bit her lip. She couldn't wear this and the dress she had on from the night before. "I'm going to take a shower, is there any chance you could find me a change of clothes?""Whatever you wish, Mistress."Trisha put her hands to her burning cheeks. Nakuni wasn't Kanda, but the way he said that already reminded her of those dreams. How was she going to face Ryan's best friend if she came face to face with him again?
"What are you doing here?" Trisha blurted out. Any other question would have been better, why couldn't she control herself? But looking at him she couldn't help but be thrown into memories of the night before. Him between her legs, him dripping the wax all over her body, and of course her begging him to fuck her. Why did she have to remember everything in such vivid details?Kanda didn't seem the least bit put off by her question, nor did he notice her nervousness "I'm here to take you out while Ry takes care of business. He's not sure how long it will take, so my job is to take you on a date." He grinned at her at his last words."It's not a date," Nakuni interrupted with a scowl and his arms across his chest. "It is you taking her outside of the residence to buy some products that the Master has told you to do, with his money. You have nothing to do with this besides being a go-betwe
Kanda pulled into the line of fancy cars and Trisha craned her neck to see where they were. She had to applaud herself for at least getting control of her libido. "What is this?" she demanded as their car inched along."I'm not about to park the car, the valet will take care of that while we shop." Kanda thumbs drummed out a tune on the wheel and he turned to her with a smile. "Don't worry, you'll get to see the surprise soon."Trisha sighed. She still didn't know if she even wanted to see what the surprise was. The way that these people thought was just so foreign to her.Their idea of a surprise could be anything, or even worse, it could be something that Ryan thought she liked. "I don't need a reward for helping Ryan out, he's done enough already.""Nonsense." Kanda moved the car further ahead. "Look, we're next, then you'll see where we're at.""It just looks like a really fancy mall to me," Trisha mu
