7. Her regret

Stella's point of view...

My head was throbbing as if someone had hit me with a hammer.

The cold evenings breeze was not helping either. Whatever happened today was not less than a scene of drama.

I stood stuck to the wall outside the washroom while the four guards who led all of us (the employees) outside of the washroom stood shielding the area.

Not my head alone but my heart was also throbbing inside my chest while those lifeless eyes staring at the ceiling of Tisha flashed across my own eyes. It is truly unbelievable that the woman who ruined my meeting fifteen minutes ago was lying dead in the room!

Moreover I witnessed someone being stabbed. The litres of blood oozing from her body wars not leaving the sight of my eyes.

Not directly but Tisha's face was not leaving my sight and the possibility of my few hours boss killing her was another reason which did not let me rest in ease. How cozily was he sitting when she had barged in the meeting room? He behaved as if he never knew who she was.

And the accusations she has put on him back there in the meeting room, it was forcing me to doubt him more and more.

Can it be that he really gave her position (the post of the head designer) to me?

Can it be that he purposely gave me that post so that he can come closer to me!

Anything is possible, although I would never have thought this after Megan had knocked her thoughts in my head but now, seeing Tisha's dead body, I can only blame Max for her dead.

"Get aside, everyone, stay away from the crime scene!" My trance was broken by a hoarse and heavy voice.

When I looked up from the floor at the owner of the voice, my throat dried seeing three cops walking with in uniform towards us. They were intact with guns in their hands as they came walking towards the area where I stood with five other female colleagues of mine.

"This way officer" The guard who have insisted me to exit the washroom guided the officers inside of the same and the door was closed behind them.

Not even a minute had passed after the cops in inform entered inside that Max my boss, he came out of the same door looking expressionless. All the eyeballs of the employees stared him while he stared only at me.

It looked like he was trying to say something regardless the sweat beads on his forehead said a different story. I still can't bring myself to realization that he became a reason behind someone's death! I regret coming here today.

Did I not commit a mistake by joining his firm, did I?
