∆ Adalyn's p.o.v ∆

The souvenir is far back from college but it is almost as if it occured yesterday since I remember every minor details as clear as day.

"You did what?" Isaac asked in frustration

"It was not even that obvious!" I tried my best to defend my cause

"I don't know if I should thank you or hate you to death." He said grabbing my shoulders in his wide hands and shaking me a little almost as if he wanted me to realize the situation.

I only blinked in confusion and looked at him in the eyes confusion written all over my face. Trust me I was more than down to earth than ever when I accidentally gave a hint to Amber that Isaac might or might not like her in some sort of way. I wouldn't say I am clueless but...

Okay, maybe I am clueless in some situations but this is the magnificent results of the lack of human interactions.

I was sitting at lunch with Amber by my side who was munching on some unknown substance. It looked green and had a nice smell to it. I didn't ask further questions on her choice of meal and instead admired how she looks at Isaac in astonishment as if he is a god when he marked a point... If this is the right term sporty people use.

I took a sip of my ice cold water which make my teeth clatter just a little. Even with the freezing weather I would rather drink icing water rather than some hot tea or coffee. I've always preferred cold things. Icy scents, cold drinks and even cold weather.

"Eyeing him from afar will not help." I find myself saying to Amber in an amused tone

She looks back at me surprised and cheeks lightly flushed.

"I was not starring!"

"I can't believe I am the one identified as clueless!" I said without even thinking first and this is when the "accident" took place.

She looked at me with her eyebrows furrowed and I quickly packed my belongings and came up with an excuse to avoid her questions about what I meant exactly and also to stop Isaac from ripping my head off. I rushed out of the cafeteria and could hear Isaac's voice repeating my name over and over again.

When he found me, I told him what I accidentally mentioned to Amber and the look on his face was priceless.

I tried to contain my laughter from erupting at any moment from the way he was slowly pacing back and forth in front of me trying to find a solution so Amber doesn't find out.

"I think I have the best idea." I exclaimed with a smile nearly reaching my eyes.

"Really?" He told me his eyes full of relief

"Tell her the truth!"

"You know damn well I can't" He sighed

When I notice Amber coming behind Isaac I didn't say anything and instead motioned for her to stop in her tracks and she obeyed even though she was confused. Isaac had his head burried in his hands and kept frowning. Then an idea popped in my head. I smiled proudly and told Isaac to tell me what he likes about Amber. He kept confessing to me. I am like a treasure chest to the pair. They tell me everything and anything and every time I make sure they wouldn't regret their decisions.

He kept going on and on about her and I could see a wide smile form on Amber's face along with blushed cheeks. Isaac ended his speech by saying he knew Amber was out of his league and telling her the truth would do more bad than good.

"What if I told you that she feels the same way..." I said taking a step closer to Isaac

"What if I tell you that she compliments you just kike you did..." And another step closer

"What if I told you that she knows how you feel but before that was as clueless as you..." I took a final step, grabbed Isaac's broad shoulders and turned him around in Amber's direction.

He looked astonished but out of all the emotions rushing through his mind there was a hint of love and I could say that I was proud of my masterpiece. Ambet kept getting closer to Isaac and I took some steps back and closed my eyes to avoid all the lovey dovey scenery. They both laughed afterwards and I slightly opened my eyes and breathed out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

"Thank you Adalyn!" They both say in unison

"I'd have to say I did a pretty good here." I said pointing at them

I found myself laughing out of nowhere and could see the confused look on Margot's face. In another situation or mostly with another person I would say it was just a silly thought and dismiss the thought but instead I told Margot and she kept laughing during my anecdote.

"So you are some type of matchmaker?" She said in between laughters

"I guess so!" I said giggling

After our laughing session I calm down a little and start talking again.

"Do you want to get married?" I asked Margot and I could tell that she was taken aback by this question.

"You know... Referring to Isaac and Amber's story." I justified

"Um I am not sure." She said after a moment.

"Why not?" I asked unsure of what her answer would be.

"I just don't feel the need for a man to intrude in my life and stay there forever."

"What about a woman?"

There was a long pause, complete silence. We looked at each other but our expressions were blank not sure what to do or say. The ringing sounds of bells and speakers weren't even able to make us flinch. I knew exactly what was happening. We were missing the train; again but there was little to no space left to think about that. We were preoccupied about something else. This is day I learnt that silence can feel deadly when it is considered as the elephant in the room.
