THIRTY

Ivan’s pov:

It was the night of the party, Dad wanted us to arrive in one car but I insisted on using my car because only then will I and Mum’s first plan work.

“When we get there, go immediately and get the documents; your mum and I will distract the Thompsons” dad grumbled to me before his chauffeur drove off.

I got to the party a few minutes after mum and dad and they were already involved in a conversation with the Thompsons as I arrived but Ella wasn’t there. I walked over to them, exchanged pleasantries and took an excuse to ‘find Ella’; when in the real sense I was going to find Mr. Thompson’s office and then the documents.

The ground floor of the Thompson’s home was huge. You could literally get lost from just looking for the toilet. There were so many doors, so many walls and so many corners.
