Chapter 1: The Date

Timothy Regio’s POV

I got a text from my sister, Anika, that she will be going to the boutique to model for the fall collection of a fashion designer. I texted her to be safe and she said okay. I was sighing before I heard a text was coming in and it was not Anika.

It was an unknown number.

I furrowed my eyebrow before I was looking at the text. It stated that we should meet up. I replied who was it and then it dinged when I read it said Sabel from the bar last night. I smiled before I was laying in bed before I was replying to her.

‘Was it really her? I don’t think that I would have met anyone with that name last night,’

‘Come on! You know, the woman with too many tequila shots,’ she replied before I was smiling like an idiot. I don’t think that I would be like this.

‘Are you sure? Prove it,’ I stated before she replied. I don’t think Sabel would be this frustrated with me over the text.

‘I said that you can a change of 20 euros. Do you remember now?’

‘Maybe, maybe not,’ I said before there was no text after that. I sat up as I was scowling. Was she really going to dump me after that text? I wondered. Then my phone rang and it was that same unknown number. I smiled before I cleared my throat and picked the phone.

“Hello?” I answered before I heard that she was taking a deep breath.

“Hi, I don’t know if you remember last night but I was the one that asked for your number if you recall,” she stated before I laid back on the bed.

“Hmm, you have to be very specific. I don’t think I remember last night. I have a lot of other customers that I served,” I said as I was smirking at the ceiling. Sabel was very fun to tease. She sighed.

“Oh, well. I think I will Han up then. I know this was a stupid shot,” she mumbled before I sat up and shouted into the phone.

“No, wait! I’m sorry. I was just joking. Of course, I remember you from last night. You have the gorgeous eyes I ever laid on,” I blurted before I can stop myself. I facepalmed my forehead before I can take that back.

“I did?”

“Yes, I would not lie about anything as that,” I said as I was smiling before she chuckled. And frankly, I think I like Sabel’s chuckle.

“Well, that’s a relief then,” she said as she was taking a deep breath. I don’t know what she wanted but I try to hear it before I said something stupid again.

“So, listen. I was wondering if you wanted to meet, say at 4 PM or so?” She asked me as she was breathing over the phone. I think my cock stirred and I was shifting in my seat as I was smiling like an idiot again.

“Okay, sure,” I said before I was forgetting that I have to go for my shift at 5 PM. Damn it!

“Are you sure? Am I not being too direct with you? I mean we just met last night and I was the one that asked—“

“No, it’s fine. Actually, I was kind of glad that you asked me. I was too afraid to ask someone like you,” I said as I was rubbing my neck. I don’t know why I was telling her all of this.

“Oh, why not?”

“You’re way out of my league,” I said before Sabel chuckled. I cannot think of anything other than the sound of the chuckle. It was music to my ears.

“So, at 4 PM then? At the town square?” She asked as I was nodding before I forgot that Sabel can see me.

“Yes, sure. I love that. I wanted you to show you this one cafe if you’re up to it,” I said as Sabel was squirming.

“Oh, sorry. I lost composure just now,” she said as she was clearing her throat.

“No problem. You’re cute when you do it,” I said before I felt the blush was on my face. I was clearing my throat before Sabel was chuckling again.

“I see you later then,” she said before we hung up and I was laying in bed as I was staring at the ceiling. I smiled like an idiot again before I was sitting up on the bed.

I went to look for my wallet and I saw that I don’t have much money for expensive drinks but I think this will do for now.

I just have to improvise.

I was standing in the middle of the town square as I was looking at the sky. It was a perfect day for a walk in the park before I was looking at the tourists and locals alike. But I was stunned by someone that was walking toward me.

She was wearing a hat that covers her face but her long hair was flowing freely behind her back and the wind was making it more alluring when I was blinking, trying to make sure that it was not my illusion.

“Woah,” I mumbled before I saw the amber eyes that were staring at me. Sabel was gorgeous with her pale yellow dress with her sandals. It looked kind of cute on her.

“Hi,” she said as she was waving at me. I blinked a few times before I was gathering my sanity and I was smiling at her.

“Hi yourself. Wow! I never see you like this. And of course, I mean, last night you were stunning but it was low light and I don’t have a good chance—“ I rambled on and on before Sabel chuckled at me that I stopped.

Her chuckle sounded even better in real life as I was looking at her. She was looking around before she was focusing her eyes on me.

“So, where is this cafe that you wanted to show me?” She asked before I was shaking my head and I was offering her my hand as I smiled at her.

“We will be there. It’s a surprise for you,” I said before she put her hand on mine. It was soft like a baby’s hand and I was sliding it between my fingers and gripped her hand tightly.

“Well, I have to trust you then,” she said as we were walking to the cafe that I have in mind. I smiled at her as she was following my footsteps in the direction of the cafe.

“Yes, you have to trust me,” I said before Sabel arched her eyebrow at me.

“You will not kidnap me, are you?” She asked before I was chuckling at her accusation.

“A woman like you? I would but I don’t think I would give to someone else. I will keep you all to myself,” I blurted my deepest desire right now. She blushed before she smiled as she hid it with her hat.

“I think I have something like that in mind,” she mumbled as I turned to look at her.

“Hmm?” I asked her before she shook her head.

“Shall we?” She said as we were walking to the cafe that I have been dying to go to.
