She wasn't surprised when Kairo suddenly decided to leave Detroit. She was back in his mansion. She hissed in pain as she softly placed her finger on the bruise over her forehead. Her blonde hair was in unruly waves and cascading down her shoulders.

Her phone began to ring. She swirled her head at the desk. Sauntering forward, she swiped it up in her hand with a smile, "Sal, I'm fine. I've told you many times." She muttered.

"Yeah! Yeah! I trust you. Still, I wanna know. How are you now?" She wasn't regretting that she couldn't spend time with her brother as he was busy catching the trouble.

She sat on the couch, staring down at the carpet, "I'm good."

'I haven't seen my husband after reaching home. He's not answering my calls. I don't know what to do.'

The door opened softly. Her head jerked at it, her breath caught in her throat at the sight of him. She was looking at him without blinking, "I'll call you later,
