James

A week has passed. Harper was still mad at me because she met with Nigel at the mall last Saturday. She spent the rest of the week going to college alone. She barely spoke over ten words to me. It was not my intention after she had left with a warning not to meddle, but as I was on my way to my date.

I had a call with Nigel and had mentioned her date and the warning. Nigel is like me. Protective. He did the exact thing I would have done on my behalf and I’m grateful, but now we are facing the wrath of a teenager in love.

Nancy suggested we have lunch at their place today so we can be more supportive and have time to know Conrad. She also warned that if we became hostile, she would take it upon herself to make things harder for Nigel and me.
