Panic swept throughout my body, I could feel and hear the blood rushing in my ears like roaring water as thunderous sounds crashed around me in a sea of explosions, I could feel the heavy gulps of breath my lungs fought for, the bile in my throat was making it hard to focus. The chaos around me sent a shiver of dread all the way to my toes, the bodies of people littered the icy ground, rivers of blood flowed free as a fountain throughout the battle field. My stomach began to lurch trying to force out its contents from the sight of the mangled dead all over the ground.
The air was thick with the smell of burning steel and flesh along with the sickening metallic aroma from freshly spilled blood.
