CHAPTER 4

I have fallen into my deepest slumber last night and waking up again this morning. I immediately thought of how I can possibly escape this house. Surely, those bitches are gone working; I can still remember how my life went when I have not knew them; I was happy, alone. I make decisions for myself without authority, and I always did what I wanted for I had freedom, but now? I am like a prisoner behind the bars guarded by armed men. I stood up as I came back to my senses.

“You’re awake?”

I immediately turned to where the voice came from; and there I saw Helix Fidalgo still in my room. What is he planning to do?

“Uh, good morning!” I said pretentiously.

“Aren’t you going to work?” I added.

“Why? Don’t you like to see me here?” he asked raising his right brow.

“It’s not like that.” I replied while feeling a little nervous.

“Don’t ever dare think about running away, I know what’s on your mind.” He said—acting like a psycho.

“Why would I?” I said pretentiously again.

“I’ll surely be dead in the hands of these watchmen of yours outside.” I convincingly added.

“Okay, fine. Cook for me again, and later on by 6pm we will be leaving.” He said before leaving my room.

I cooked for lunch, and as same as usual, we ate quietly for there was nothing to talk about, so silence was better.

As soon as he finished his food, he went to his room. And I was left cleaning up before entering mine.

Right after I cleaned up everything, I went to my room and took a bath. As I went out the bathroom, I unexpectedly saw Helix sitting on the couch. What is he doing here? I gripped onto my bathrobe tightly which merely covered my body.

“What do you need, Sir? You should have left a note on top of the drawer instead so I’ll be the one to go to you.” I said as he is staring at my torso.

“Come here”, he said softly. And I drew myself near him while standing still. I don’t want to sit beside him; I am wet and very shy.

“Do you see that long gown over there?” I looked to where he was pointing; a very beautiful white backless turtle neck gown—simple but elegant.

“Uh, yeah?” I stuttered.

“You’re going to wear that later. And you know this right?” He pointed at the make-up set on the bed.

“You put light make-up on.” He commanded. “You’ll look better with make-up.” He added.

“Where are we going, Sir?” I asked. The things he made for me are confusing the hell out of me!

“Don’t call me Sir as soon as we get there. Call me whatever you want, just don’t call me Sir.” He retorted.

Obviously, my question was as different from his answer. Argh!

“Okay, Sir” my reply as he was about to leave my room. Argh, maybe he is used to seeing women’s bodies covered only with a towel, so he didn’t reacted the way I expected him to do. He’s a total jerk! Meanwhile, I changed and rested instead of going out. I don’t know why, but I am literally sad about what’s happening to me.

I woke up at exactly 4:30, and remembered that jerk and I are going somewhere. And I started preparing so I won’t get late.

I went to the bathroom to take a bath. I wiped my whole body with the towel and change. Right after combing my long wet hair, I applied a bit lotion on my smooth skin as I heard three loud knocks from the door.

“Hey! Get dressed!” My bossy jerk Helix shouted.

“Okay” I retorted.

I, then, applied make-up on, matching the gown I am supposed to wear—just like what he told me earlier—I applied foundation on my face, pink lipstick and mascara on my long eyelashes. After, I wore the pair of earrings I have taken from a small gift box, and tied my hair.

As soon as I had finished the make-up session, I did the rest that should be done. I wore the long gown that was hung a while ago, and studied my reflection in the mirror. The gown fitted perfectly on my body that my curves were none but obviously like a “Coca-Cola” bottle like they always say. Besides, I haven’t worn a bra for the gown was backless. I, too, am not bothered nor worried for the gown was close necked and there were padding for my breasts, and so I am able to breathe with it. The gowns color looked perfect on me—that jerk was great!

“Hey, are you done?” I heard his voice from the outside.

I walk slowly to the door, for I am not used to wear a 6-inches pair of heels.

“I am done, Sir” I said while smiling to Helix. He held my hand and rested it on his muscled arm and slowly walked me out.

“Stay by my side when we get there or else those guys, they’ll play fool upon you.” He said, and I just nodded back to him while we were walking.

He, then, opened the car’s door; since the last time, it is just now again that I had the chance to see the world as it is. My hand is still clutching his arm. I was about to lose hold but he held mine hand more tightly. What is he acting like this? All I can do is murmur in my head.

“Let’s go.” He said to the driver.

As the driver is focused on the road, Helix slowly fell asleep. What does he want?

Is he thinking that maybe I’ll put his head on my shoulder? Argh! It’s like I’m showing so mercy; I gently hooved his face upon my shoulder until he finally rested his head. Thank God the car is air conditioned, and so I didn’t sweat. Why is this jerk tired? He didn’t even go to work today! In dismay, I avoided looking at his pretty face.

I chuckled when I felt my shoulder wet—his saliva leaked down to it.

“Are we still far?” I asked the driver, but he remained silent.

Helix awakened when the car stopped; maybe he felt it then got back to his senses.

“What did I do?” he asked like an innocent child; I answered him honestly.

“Sir, your saliva went all over my shoulder while you were sleeping. Now, its soaking wet.” I chuckled.

“What? I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to.” He surprisingly retorted while wiping my shoulder with his hanky.

“Ha-ha, it’s okay Sir, don’t worry. I won’t gossip about it.” I said, still laughing at him.

“I’m now good. Let’s go?” he said as he was about to get out of the car. A mere nod was just my reply for I didn’t know what to say. A mixed emotion I have felt—glad, nervous, and afraid girdled my heart and mind. I just followed him instead so that there will not be an argument.
