3- Girlfriend alert.

Fabian typed away on his phone while he awaited the return of his girlfriend from the restuarant's restroom. He was chatting with his friend, Deardre who lived far away in England. They had met few years back in an hotel when he had gone over there for a vacation.

She was a nice, pretty lady with blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes that caught his attention when they first met. He pretended to ask for the direction to any African restaurant she knew that was around the corner and she obliged politely by giving him directions. Since that day they became friends and he took that as an opportunity to spark up more conversations with her by complimenting her lovely eyes and accent, and ever since then they became close buddies.

Even when Fabian travelled back to Nigeria (Delta State to be precise), they kept in touch via email and through social media convos.

'I'm pregnant Fabian, and I don't know what to do.' Deardre sent.

He blinked at his screen several times, thinking his eyes were playing tricks on him. He quickly typed out a message, 'How? You've married Jordan already and I don't know? Woah, am surprised!"

Her reply came in almost immediately, 'No, we didn't get married. I found out I was pregnant a week ago, but I haven't told Jordan because right now as I am chatting with you Jordan's whereabouts is unknown to me. It's like he suddenly disappeared, he doesn't respond to my calls, mails and it seems like he has deleted all his social media accounts. I just can't seem to find him anywhere.'

'It's going to be fine, don't worry. If you guys were destined for each other, you are going to cross paths one day.' Fabian assured.

'How can you tell me not to worry, I don't think I would want to ever set my eyes on him again. I've deleted all the pictures I have of him on my laptop and my phone. Right now, all I feel in my heart for him is hate. How could he do this to me? It is so unfair! I was going to get married to him no matter the circumstances and obstacles that stood our way but I never for once thought he would bail out just like that, leaving a part of him here with me.'

Fabian was sure she had typed that out of anger. He sent her a message, asking her to remain calm and not think too much about Jordan. 'If you continue to worry, it might affect the baby. Right now, all you have to do is think of yourself and your unborn child. Make sure you have lots of rest and don't stress yourself too much. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. You're going to be just fine.'

Fabian checked his wristwatch and looked around the cosy restaurant for his girlfriend, Amanda. It seemed like she was taking the whole day in the restroom. His phone beeped, drawing his attention back to his phone screen.

Deardre had replied, 'I know that I'll be fine. The only problem I have now is how I'm going to break the news to my parents. They're going to be so disappointed in me. I don't think I can even look at their faces right now. If only i can turn back the hands of time.'

'My dear, they might get mad at you or be disappointed at first but I'm sure they are going to accept the baby, just so you know this is their first grandchild. So, don't worry and do what you have to do, and please don't think for the sake of your healthI hope they not going to ask you to abort the baby though because no one knows what the universe has in store for you. Just think of this baby as a blessing.'  Fabian typed out.

"Hello," He snapped his head up when he heard a feminine voice call out to him. There was an unfamiliar cute dark-skinned lady standing in front of him.

"Hi," He responded then raised his brow questioningly at her.

She twirled her braids with her left hand and stretched her right hand towards him, "I'm Rebbecca and—"

"And who is Rebbecca?" a voice asked cutting in.

Fabian looked behind Rebbecca to see Amanda standing there. She had one hand on her waist and was shooting daggers at Rebbecca.

Rebbecca eyed Amanda from head to toe and back to her head again. Even if she didn't want to admit it in her heart, Amanda was pretty and her clothes were expensive, stunning and way out of her league. She was putting on black pallazo pants, an off-shoulder top and transparent high heels. Her neck and wrist which was adorned with jewelries of all sorts made Rebbecca wonder why an average-classed lady had to wear so much.

Rebbecca turned to Fabian and asked, "Who is she?"

Fabian opened his mouth to speak as he stood up from his seat but Amanda beat him to it, "I am Princess Amanda. The only daughter of King Eze of Ine kingdom. Now tell me, What are you doing here with my man?"

"Your man?"

"Yeah, you heard me clearly or have you suddenly gone deaf."

"Well..." Rebbecca drawled, "Your man has been sitting here alone for almost an hour now. I just wanted to keep him company."

"Well.." Amanda walked closer to Rebbecca and said, "As you can see, my man doesn't want to be in company with a cheap whore like you so leave."

"Amanda!" Fabian shouted her name like he was trying to bring her back to order, "Be nice for once."

Rebbecca exhaled loudly and flung her right hands up in surrender, "Okay. I'm going to leave but next time, take care of your man unless another lady will do it perfectly fine for you." with that said, she pushed past Amanda and walked out of the restaurant.

"Why were you mean to her? She meant no harm." Fabian told her.

Amanda pulled out a seat and sat down, ignoring him.

"I'm talking and asking you a question. Why?" He reiterated.

"I am a very jealous person and i don't want any lady close to you. If any one tries stealing you away from me, I'm going to crush that person in a way that they'd regret ever doing so." Amanda said before signalling the waiter to order for more drinks before Fabian could ask her what she meant by that.

......

Meanwhile in far away England, Deardre had fainted and was rushed to the hospital for checkup.
