15. Sumit : the Chef

I yawned and stretched before getting up from the bed. As soon as I left the warmth of the bed and plush blanket, my skin came in contact with the frostiness in the air. I hugged myself and rubbed my arms to gain some warmth. Even though the heater was on, I still shivered as soon as my feet touched the cold hardwood floor.

I hurriedly slipped on my flip-flops and pulled on a cardigan.

My gaze went to the digital clock on the bedside table.

7:30 a.m.

Shit.

I will make both of us late for work.

I rushed towards the door and no sooner did I swing it open than the strong aroma of coffee wafted into my nostrils. Curiously, I went to the kitchen. Was Sumit making coffee? That would be a first. I chuckled to myself. However, other than us, no one else would break-in. I mean the intruder would definitely not have breakfast with me or greet me casually, 'Oh hi there, just broke into your apartment but thought why not have some coffee before I leave'. Hah! I chuckled again at my stupidi
