Sumit
I sat there with one of my hands loosely holding the steering wheel and the other hand was on the cheek that Aruna had just pecked.
Well, I definitely did not see that coming.
Sumit"So did you thank him?" was the first thing I asked after entering our apartment. I tried to keep my tone cool even though I was anything but. "Hm," she answered noncommittally from the couch where she was sprawled with a novel in her hand. Not getting my desired answer but not wanting to seem nosy (no matter how much I wanted to be that) I decided to go and freshen up.--*--"So how was your day?" Aruna asked me as I went and took my seat on another couch next to the one where she was now sitting. The paperback copy of 'Gone With The Wind' lying on the coffee table. "Busy," I murmured, taking out my phone and started scrolling through the emails. She snorted, "Yeah, I guessed that much as you did not call me after reaching there". I looked up. My heart did a stupid flip, however, I raised a questioning eyebrow and managed to pull up a smirk, "Why? Were you eagerly waiting for the phone call?""Uh... no. I was not," she replied gingerly before getting up and busying herself in th
A/N: I apologize for neglecting this book. Updates shall be twice a week :)[Aruna]"Honey I am back," Sumit hollered in a sing-song way as he entered the apartment. Even though I knew he was joking, I felt giddy for some reason.I was sprawled on the bed and was feeling too lazy to go and greet him but anyway I did. After talking to Rashmi, I tried to get progress on some assignments before giving up because I was too restless and anxious.
[Sumit]"Hey, Rohit how are you doing?" I asked hesitantly as I fiddled with a pen."Wow, look whose calling! Someone pinch me...Am I dreaming?" He asked feigning a dreamy voice.
[Aruna]"Did youactuallyredo the office cabinets according to my suggestion?" I asked thoughtfully. After a moment of silence, Sumit replied, "Yeah, it was a good one and moreover I didn't change anything in the office for the past 3 years or so. Therefore the change was good".
ArunaTaking a sip from the paper cup, the scalding hot beverage burned my tongue and throat, however, that was the last thing bothering me. I aimlessly stared out of the small yet cosy cafe's window - people hurrying up and down the road, cars honking and zooming past my line of sight. I sighed and glanced at my watch.
Aruna"He saidwhat?!" Rohit roared. I flinched slightly before answering, "Yeah".I know it's surprising that instead of calling Rashu, I called him. It was because he did get agitated
ArunaI stared at the screen. The phone kept buzzing. The better part of me wanted to throw the damned device but didn't do it because right now I didn't need to go through the hassle of buying a new phone. The buzzing stopped. I wa
Sumit"Do you have any freaking idea what you did? Of what effect it can have on Aruna?!" Rohit bellowed in my soundproof office. I was sat in my high back chair, my temples throbbing consistently. I started massaging it to ease the ache but my brother's shouting worsened it.
