Blake's POV:
"Is your uncle tall? Taller than you? Same as you?" I asked him without looking, once I'm done buckling on my seat. My chest heaved a sigh when he responded with a chuckle.
"Well, let's see? Don't worry, I swear, he'll be the nicest person you'll ever meet." I heard him say with a foreign tone, making me look at him cluelessly.
"Is my brother paying you?" I asked nonchalantly before closing my eyes, I don't want to see his face at the moment.
"Of course..." I heard him say, making me sigh. "Of could, not... I told him not to. I want to do this not because he wants to. I decided to do this for you." My eyes suddenly widen in surprise, confusion made me tilt my head.
I tried to digest those words, but it doesn't make sense at all. The only reason why a person is helping a person with a disease is either he's kind, and he's a doctor with free service.
Luca's POV:"Oh, Luca. You're here," Dad welcomed us with Alex on his shoulder as his eyes snapped at Blake. "Woah, who's this kid?" Dad asks while looking at him like he's a lost kid, making me laugh."Good morning, Sir. Um, my n-name is Blake. And, actually, I'm 18 so Kid is not really professional." He explained, and I chuckled as Dad decided to put Alex down."Luca! You're here! Luciano is sleeping again! Did you get me something!" Alex exclaimed before he ran onto my lap, and I heard a chuckle from Blake."Of course, bud! Don't worry about Luciano, he's probably tired like he always is. Anyways... I didn't get you something, but I think he did." I grumbled dramatically, and I pointed my finger to Blake, making him look at him cluelessly."Um, Hi!" He greeted energetically like how I expected. "My name is Alex! Are you Luca's?..." He asked, and I r
Blake's POV: "Oh my God!" I rushed to the guy who has the same height as me when I saw him limping on the stairs. With his eyes wide open, I run through the steps and immediately held take a grasp on his small hand as I snaked my arms around his waist.
Luca's POV:When we entered my old room that I used to sleep in, I noticed Blake wandering with awe on his face, making me smile with a sigh of relief. I walked towards my closet to change into comfortable ones, I haven't talked to him yet about us, staying here. Yes, I have decided to stay here for him. He's not comfortable around my house, so there won't make him feel like that, right? And, seeing him with Daddy is making me feel like I'm doing well. First, he needs to feel at home, and second, he needs to trust us first. Then, when he does, I'll ask him out. I need to take this slow. A chuckle escapes from my mouth when he slumped his tiny body on my bed, he looks so f*cking cute. I'm trying my best not to take him, sh*t.I noticed him looking at our photos when our parents are still around. It's a photo of us, and a photo with Grayson, whom I called Dad, and Anson, my second mother-like figure. He somehow looks younger than me. H
Blake's POV:The shaking bed forced my eyes to open on their own, and immediately stretch my arms, as a jumping Alex with a giddy smile, welcomed my hooded eyes. His giggles filled my ears, making me roll to the other side before clutching my eyes shut. It has been a week since we stayed here with Griffith's family, and it's not as bad as I thought it would be. Letting out a yawn, I playfully glared at him, only to receive an innocent-looking smile with wiggling brows, making me shake my head in disbelief. He giggled excitingly when I nodded and forced myself to sit before looking at the alarm clock. 7:09, not bad. Knowing what I have to do next, I get out of the fluffy bed and waiting for Alex to hop on my back, and he did before we make our way to the bathroom. This is our usual routine, it was explained by this kid, looking at the mirror while brushing his teeth carefully, making me chuckle, as the toothpaste escapes from my lips.
Luca's POV:Like the wall clock, my eyes automatically opened, used to the new routine. It has been 2 weeks since my body gets a chance to hold him and feel his warmth, and it's still lingering on every bit of my skin. It feels like I'm holding fire with so much gentle, scared to wake him up, knowing how grumpy he'll be. When my eyes got used to being opened, I let it look at the tiny body, clinging on my chest with his head, nuzzling on the crook of my neck. My lips started smiling on its own, and my nose began sniffing his calming scented locks, as it made my chest leaped up in joy. Of course, I'm holding the man that I was watching for God knows how long. When his father died, I started checking him.I remember his 9-year-old eye, looking at me like I was a hero. That was when I put a plaster on his scratch, back when he was just a grade-schooler. I saw him running like the kid he was. I was hiding behind him, was riding a bike, w
Blake's POV:A sigh escapes from my chest, as my eyes wandered around Luca's bedroom, waiting for him to return. As my feet dance to the end of the fluffy bed, Alex's scarred face is flowing in my head, making me hissed in regret. I didn't get a chance to talk to him because Luciano sent him to school this morning after we had breakfast. I couldn't find the urge to talk to him, even though he was sitting next to me. I couldn't focus on my food, knowing that I made him uncomfortable with me. I don't know why I was doing that, staring at him. I'm so disappointed with myself. I'm promised to Lele that I won't do weird things ever again, but I did. But, I didn't mean to scare him that much!It scares me too! I'm scared more than they do. I'm scared that someday, they will look at me like I'm crazy. And, the fact that it's starting to scare someone is scary enough to terrify me. I don't have an assurance or even a clue to hold on to. It h
Luca's POV:Peeking at the rare view mirror, I feel a smile make its way to my face, as I watched the two sleepyheads cuddling on the backseat. I heave out a sigh of relief before focusing my eyes on the road. It's been a long tiring day so seeing them sleeping is not a surprise anymore, especially Blake. He's been stressing himself out, thinking of what he did. The passing buildings are slowly fading, and in no time it'll be replaced by the tall trees and quiet breeze. With my left hand, I reached my phone in my pocket while trying not to chuckle out. Quietly, I take a snap of them and one with me before sliding it inside my pocket yet again. So far, it's good. Great rather.Carefully parking the car, I picked up Alex's backpack before giving Blake's thigh light taps. It took him minutes to get awake from his nap, showing his hooded eyes as I put my index finger on my lips, motioning him to hush to not wake Alex up. I avert my
Blake's POV:"Luca, where's your brother? I haven't seen him eat with us." I ask quietly, as he hopped on the bed before pulling me to his chest.I feel his nose on my locks, making me smile, "He's with the Dads, probably working." He says quietly before I nuzzle closer to his chest, and hear his heartbeat.I raise my brows, and looked up to his grinning face, as I remembered Alex. "Then, why did we let Alex sleep alone, in his room? He must be feeling lonely there, Luca." I whine and get up as he looked at me with confused eyes."He's a big boy now, Blake, and he always sleeps alone. Besides, he's too sleepy to think of loneliness, don't worry." He explains, making me glare at him."You guys let him sleep there? All alone? Luca, can you hear yourself?" I ask in disbelief, knowing how it feels to sleep alone, and it's not cool. I always sleep next to Koniee, or Lele.I
