36. Misunderstanding

I pushed Aaron off, but it was a little too late as Jake saw us kissing. I prayed that he didn't misunderstand me. All I wanted was to comfort Aaron because I felt bad for him.

"What the fuck are you doing, bro?" Jake demanded to know.

"Claiming what should be mine," Aaron said.

"You went too far Aaron," Jake turned to Aaron and scowled. "She is my girlfriend. She picked me! Just get over it already. Why can't you just be happy for me?" he said.

"Because I'm tired of looking out for you. My whole life, I put your needs before mine. I got into fights with people in school only because you started shit with them and couldn't fight them by yourself! I took blames for you!" Aaron shouted.
