Life's a bitch. You've got to go out there and kick some asses off.
"Was it Todd that gave you the bruise on your eye the first time I saw you?" I asked him and he looked away from me. I had been dreading to know if it was Todd ever since he told me he was used to more pain. I needed to know if he was abused by someone else too, or only bullied by Todd.
"Yeah," he replied but I could tell he was lying. He changed his voice and became still. He avoided eye contact and blinked rapidly. His chest rose and fell in a fast pace. I knew it wasn't going to be easy for him to tell me, but I needed to know. I needed to be there for him.
"Liar." I drawled slowly and he shook his head and balled his fist. I was infuriating him so he would tell me out if frustration. I would do anything to get the truth from him.
