CHAPTER FIVE

     Sophia's POV

The next morning, I woke up with a terrible headache from last night. Thinking about the fact that I had to be seeing someone manage my hospital along with me was annoying but not going to change anything. I just had to accept it and go along with the flow of things.

After a few minutes of preparations for work, I was out of the house in a white sleeveless jumpsuit. I went to where my car was parked and entered the driver's seat when Josh decided to show up.

"You were late." I told him before he could utter a word.

"Miss I _"

"It's ok. I will be driving myself today." I said.

"Please open the gate for me." I added and he left.

I steamed the car, ready to drive out of the house when Cindy came and knocked on the window of my car.

I was leaving the house early to avoid being disturbed by someone and there she stood at my door, with her hands on her waist like she was ready for a fight.

I lowered the window and rolled my eyes.

"Seems you had a dream about me." I told her but she scoffed.

"You should say nightmare when making my dream references to yourself." She answered and I mickmied her.

"At least I am so important to you that you even had the nerves to dream about me."

"What is it you want?" I asked her and she scoffed.

"How dare you talk rudely to dad, huh?" She asked and I blinked multiple times.

"Is that why you left your comfortable disgusting room?" I sighed.

"Get out of my way." I turned back on my car engine.

Ow!

I forgot something.

"And mind you, my business with dad is none of your business." I pushed her away from my car and drove out of the gate.

After an almost thirty minutes drive, I arrived at the hospital. I was walking my way inside the hospital building as several thoughts crossed my mind because the hospital only reminded me that I had a partner and to top it all, I was engaged.

I could only get more furious at my dad for selling all my shares to Mr Tony.

Ok...

Half of my investments...

But I still wondered why he would do such a thing.

And that Tony, I actually thought he was a quiet type.

Don't get me wrong here.

I was not crushing on him.

I just hated the fact that he was too mouthy.

What does he take himself to be? - I thought.

"Well! WellI! Well!" A male's voice startled me.

"If it is not Miss Boss, coming late for work." He added.

I just rolled my eyes at him in a sigh. Tony always had this special talent of coming at the perfect time. My beloved or behated husband to be back then, always a kill joy.

I feigned a very broad smile to him. But the smile didn't last long. It just lasted 5 seconds.

     Tony's POV

Well dad did a good thing by driving me out of the house to the hospital.

I was off duty at Hartz Enterprise so I wanted to stay at home that day when dad insisted I go to the hospital.

I was still in my car making a call with someone when I noticed bossy girl come out of her car.

"I'll call you later man." I said and ended the call.

I waited for her to get a little further before I came out of the car.

"What do you want?" She asked me after the little tease I gave her.

"I think you should be proper when addressing your business partner. Don't you think so?" I asked and she hissed in anger.

"No I don't. Look here even if my dad sold my investments in this hospital to you, that will never make you the owner here. Understood??" She ranted her mouth and I chuckled.

She was so childish back then (Sophia hits him on the arm).

That's why I said 'back then'.

"Nah. Seems you were talking in riddles. Mind explaining again?" I asked and she shrugged in exasperated sighs.

"You are so unbelievable." She mumbled something after that and left.

So I said to myself "Tony, how about making her understand that this hospital is ours? Not just hers alone."

I took out my phone and placed a call to some persons that I knew will be of great help.

 .    Millicent's POV

"Are you sure?" I asked her and she nodded.

Cindy had just told me that she and Tony were in a relationship for quite some time.

Well if that is the case, then why is she not betrothed to him instead? - I thought.

"Mom are you doubting me?" Cindy asked and I shook my head.

"No my dear." I answered.

"Just wondering why you didn't tell your dad so he can betroth you to that Tony?" I asked her.

"Well mom. I think the reason is beyond the money deal. That is because I asked Tony to object to it but he blatantly refused." She replied.

What?

But why will...

"What did he say his reasons were?" I asked her and she shrugged.

So she has no idea!

"He didn't tell me. All he said was that he was going to do something to annul the engagement." She giggled excitedly.

Hmmmm!!

I pitied her because I knew for sure that nothing was going to be done. She was happy and excited that she was in a relationship with Tony.

If a man will refuse to object to a wedding, then the only possible possibility is that he's interested in the wedding.

Cindy was never going to understand because she was still a kid.

But what type of a kid dates men way older than her?

Sophia's POV

I was trying to concentrate in my office when my door was barged open. Some men came in carrying a table, a chair even a couch??...

And a bed??

"What the hell is going on here?" I asked but they didn't hear.

"Excuse me but who are you? And what are you doing in my office?" I asked again with no reply.

"Hello! Are you all deaf?" I screamed and they all halted to a stop.

"Better." I said and adjusted my composure.

I then added,

"Now tell me wh__"

"Relax baby." I heard Tony's voice as he trailed his pathway into my office.

"I was reorganizing our office." He added while I shot him a dead glare.

He then turned to the people,

"Welcome to TGHC, short for Tony and Grace Hospital Centre."

"Whaatt!!" I yelled while he smiled a devilish smile to me.
