Part 7

Maria POV

I sighed heavily, seeing Grisella, who mostly sits in the backyard now. She was also used to sleeping with her curtains open. The forest has become an exciting sight for her now.

"These apples are sweet," I said, eating the apple that my mom put on the dining table.

"Where is she?" my mom asked after washing the dishes.

"Where else if not the back yard."

"Maria, I didn't expect her to meet one of the werewolves in there. Will Grisella be all right?"

"Mom, Grisella didn't do anything. So what are you worried about? She will be fine. "

"She's really curious about the werewolf now."

"Hmmm, I didn't expect it to be this fast. I thought the werewolves didn't want to show their form to just anyone. Even though Grisella is still new here. "

"I don't want Grisella to get into trouble. she's already suffering enough for the problems she faces." My mom sighed heavily. I got up from my seat and approached Grisella. She looks relaxed, staring towards the forest.

"Aren't you bored?" I asked

"not at all. The forest has an amazing mystery in it."

"I don't think those in the forest are a mystery. They are obvious, right. I've even told you about the werewolf legend. "

"Yeah, I know. But I thought it was just a legend. But it turns out that they do exist. And I was helpless to be attracted to them now. Hey, you like my novel don't you? How about you and I work together."

"Work together, what do you mean?" I replied in surprise

"Yeah. You know everything about the werewolf right. They even seem to know you. I'm sure all of your information will be good material for me to make a novel. Then I will try to get their photos, and I'm sure my novel will be famous this time. We can share the benefits. How?"

"Grisella, why do you think the werewolves chose the forest in this city?"

"Why?"

"Because this is the only city that brings them peace. After all, will people out there believe in your story? Werewolf ?. I don't think this is a good idea. You have to get rid of your intention, "I denied

"But why?"

"Grisella, not everyone here can see them. Some of the residents only believed in legends, but they didn't think that werewolves were real. This is the rule. And nothing should be changed for that. "

"Okay. But that doesn't change my curiosity. I'm new here. Then the wolf woman accused me of being a witch, right? That means that a witch exists. Oh god, I can go crazy imagining this all."

"Can you act as if nothing happened ?. I mean, let them be the secret of this small town, "I begged. Grisella was silent for a moment, then she nodded. But I'm not sure if she understands what I'm saying. I can't guess what's in her heart.

******

Without Grisella's knowledge, I went into the forest. This is not a strange thing. I'm used to going into the woods. I know Nessa, that wolf woman has something to say to me. That's why I went to her that afternoon into the forest.

"Nessa? Nessa," I called. It didn't take long for the wind to blow, bringing the fallen leaves. Nessa, in her wolf form, is standing in front of me.

"I'm tired of seeing your face like this," I said, sighing. Nessa turns into a human.

"Huh, annoying humans like you are still alive," said Nessa irritably.

"Nessa, you know she's still new here. she's not bothering you, but why are you bothering her? "I asked

"I? I didn't bother her. She who came alone into this forest."

"Okay. I hope there are no problems. "

She is looking for trouble. Why should I let go? "

"Nessa?" scolds a man. The man I know very well now approaches Nessa and me.

"Argghhh, you always disturb my pleasure," complained Nessa put on an annoyed face looking at the man who was now standing beside her.

"You appeared today?" I asked the man

"I make sure she doesn't cause trouble. You know my cousin often makes trouble, "the man replied

"Yeah, I know that very well," I replied

"You have to take a close look at that Woman. I'm very sure She's from a witch clan," said Nessa

"Woman who do you mean? Do you tell Grisella? "I asked

"Yeah, she is. I saw with my own eyes that her skin was flushed, and she was burning with her blood. If Maria and her mother didn't hold her back, she would have turned into a terrible animal," said Nessa enthusiastically

"What? Hahahahahah," I laughed out loud.

"Why are you laughing, huh? You are mocking me?" Nessa snapped at me

"I laughed because your words were amusing, ha ha ha."

"Arrghhhhhh," shouted Nessa, full of anger

"Enough Nessa," the man detained Nessa

"Your cousin is always emotional. Women should be cute, right? I said sarcastically

"You lure me," replied Nessa

"That's enough. You are not tired every time you meet, you always fight," asked the man

"She's only human, but always putting me down. If it weren't for David, I would have killed her a long time ago," Nessa glared at me. Hearing the name David mentioned, I fell silent. My laughter just disappeared.

"Hey? Why did you stop laughing? Why are you silent? "Nessa asked, smiling slyly at me.

"Oh yeah, of course, I still respect you because you were once the mate of David. But I forgot that you were rejected. It's useless for a woman to be cute like you, but you're left too"

"Shut up, Nessa," I snapped harshly.

"Don't mind her. You've taken care of everything. I hope your friend does not cause trouble, "said the man

"But her friend is a witch," complained Nessa.

"Never mind, let's go," the man grabbed Nessa's hand and walked away. While I was catching my breath because my annoyance was not released. David? He is a man I miss a lot and a man who makes me have to endure pain and disappointment. When some happy women became werewolf mates, why was it only me who got hurt?
