Chapter 3

Am in my underwear when my phone beeps and I look down to see a message... 

Its Colton 

I pick it up to check...

Colton

I'm really sorry, didn't mean to ditch you like that. 

I smile and type into my phone. 

Ava

Its fine, expecting to see you soon. 

I put on my nightwear and go down to watch some TV to pass out time till Colton comes back. My phone beeps and I look to see Mrs A.... 

Mrs A

My dear Avalon, I would come for twelve servings of Cobb salad and Tater tots  tomorrow by 12pm. Can you do that for me darling? 

Ava

Of course Mrs A, I'm at your service. Hope to see you tomorrow. Good night. 

Mrs A

Good night to you too beautiful Ava. 

I smile and put down my phone, I begin to feel a little dizzy, I try to keep awake as I promised to wait for Colton. I look up at the clock to see its past eleven. 

Colton's POV

I groan as I quickly slip into my suit after the fashion show and i move down to my car. I hate to leave Ava, not that I have feelings for her, not yet but she is the most important person in my life. 

Even though as much as she acted as her usual good caring girl, I could see that she wasn't happy. I saw her face fall. I felt bad for doing this, I knew she understood though. 

I open the door to see her sprawled on the couch sleeping peacefully, her blonde beautiful hair thrown into a messy ponytail which some strands pours down to her face, her nightwear which stops at the upper part of her thighs and her beautiful legs exposed, the pillow placed,covering some part of her legs. 

I smile as I wonder how I am living in the same fucking roof with this beauty and still I have not fallen for her. 

That's weird coz I like girls a lot. But she's just different, the best friend, housemate and companion I have ever had. 

When my parents walked away from my life, she was there and has always been there. We have been friends for so long that I can't even remember how we met but still I don't know how she became mute, but I know its not from birth. She promised to tell me at her own time and I respect that. 

I still stand there admiring her when she let out a cry and I rush to her side holding her. 

"Darling are you alright? " I ask placing her head on my laps. She doesn't say a word and just holds me tight like telling me not to leave. I tap her back and stroke her hair. 

After some time I could hear slight snores and realize she has fallen back to sleep. I carry her bridal style and head to her room. I place her gently on her bed and tuck her in before leaving for mine.

Ava's POV 

I rush out the shower as I dry my body and put on a flair skirt and crop top. I brush my hair and tie it into a bun. 

I needed Colton to drop me off, my car was having issues and I didn't have the time to deal with it this morning.  I know if I told Colton that my car was having problem, he would tell me to take one of his cars but I still didn't have time for that. 

I slip into my flats as usual, grab my Louis Vuitton bag and head to Colton's room. I knock on his door and heard a faint "come in darling"

I head in and look at how handsome he is. He is in his black designer suit which fits him perfectly, he slips in his shoes when i begin writing on my notepad... 

Please can you drop me off? I'm late already

He gives me a warm smile "of course sugar, let's go"

I groan as I look at my watch and see its 8:50. "Don't worry pumpkin, you are not that late". 

I look over to him, smile and nod. 

I write... Thanks, have a great day, C.

He smiles, "of course, you too", I wave to him as I come down of his car. 

I push the doors of my restaurant open and it's already buzzing with life. I smile at one or two customers that I recognize while I go to the kitchen to see if Maria has finished the orders I gave her early this morning for Madam A.

As I enter, Maria smiles at me. "Almost done, Ava". I smile back and nod.

Mrs A walks in with a broad smile on her face. "Oh darling Ava, how much I have missed you" she embraces me in a hug I  really wasn't ready for. 

I gesture for her to sit down, "well Ava, were you able to finish?" she looks at me expectantly. 

I smile and nod my head positively. Her face seems to fall. "Wow, thank you, you're the best"

She smiles at me while handing me my money.

"Madam p told me you were mute, how did it happen? " she asks giving me that pity look. 

Oh damn.. I knew she was going to ask about it. I write into my notepad... 

Sorry ma'am, I don't want to talk about it.

She nods her head like she understood "no problem at all Ava, gotta go now. See you later" she says with a smile. 

I smile back at her and wave.

She had barely driven away when I realize she left her purse behind. I pick it up and rush out outside but she has gotten pretty far. 

I quickly type into my phone 

Ava

You left your purse behind. 

Mrs A

Oh can you get it to my house by tomorrow, I will send you my address, is that okay with you darling? 

Ava

Yeah no problem. By what time can i come? 

Mrs A

I will be home by 10am, thanks a lot hon.

I walk into the mansion, I'm  not so surprised at the sight even though it was way big, I am not surprised because Colton has way bigger houses than this. 

I ring the doorbell and a man that looks like a butler comes out 

"Can I help you miss? " I nod and bring out a note I wrote earlier as I expected this.. 

AM HERE TO SEE MADAM ALISON

He looks kind of confused "sorry miss, are you having a hard time talking?"

"Why are you talking in that manner to my guest? Nicholas "

He bows and mouths an apology before leaving. 

"I'm so sorry Ava, please come in" she opens the door wide for me and I enter. 

I enter into the well furnished sitting room and I let out a little gasp. Every single furniture in here is damn expensive. 

"Well let me get you something to drink darling" I wave my hand gesturing to her that I'm fine. I open my bag and bring out her purse. 

"Thank you so much hon, I really appreciate " I give her a warm smile and get ready to leave. 

"Oh hold on darling, my son will soon be back, I want him to meet this beautiful hearted lady" she says smiling and I return the smile, nod my head and sit back. 

The door opens to reveal a very hot figure. He's in a very much fitted suit, his black hair styled to the side, his well defined arms fitted perfectly in his suit. 

I feel the chills down my spine. This is going to be so interesting, I quickly changed my words when the young man turns around and I see a guy with short brown hair, a handsome face and a very beautiful smile. 

  "Hey Ava?"
