Chapter 29 - Digging up the past
Authur's eyes narrowed as he looked at his daughter. The feeling of fear and disgust ran through him.
"She assured me that you were not like her, " he muttered.
"Father please..." Rhiannon pleased again.
"Do not call me your father!" He snapped.
"Your mother was a disgusting creature. When I met her I thought she was a lady. But which lady throws herself so wantonly." Arthur paused.
"When I found out that she was a shapeshifting wolf, I left her. Unfortunately, she was already pregnant with you."
Rhiannon clasped Vasilios's hand tightly, it was only due to his comforting presence she could sit through the narration.
"What happened to her?"
"I left her of course, however, she came pleading one night to take you in. Her people were not happy, they would have killed you. I have enough honour to not abandon my blood. So I took you in."
