Chapter 4

~~~Past Wind~~~
Today March 8, we are going to celebrate Women's day and we all know It's solely for girls and all the girls are dressing up like a princess.
I am wearing a baby blue dress which ended up just below my knees. A thick, yet, the fancy belt was wrapped around my waist adding more beauty to my costume.
The black 3' stiletto has excess the beauty of mine and my dress. Totally I look like an angel. Letting out a sigh of relief, satisfied with my outlook, I grabbed my purse before climbing out of the car.
I started to walk towards the campus, plastering a huge smile on my face. Dylan Bryce, the senior from our college is going to propose to me.
He said he has planned the biggest surprise for me and I wonder how exciting it could be. I'm so eager to see him.
Speaking of him, he's almost 6.5 ' and has cream-colored skin. I wanted to lay my head on his broad chest. Oh, God! I'm daydreaming again.
He is every girl's dream boy and my ultimate crush from the beginning since I joined college.
We used to hang together instead of hooking with our friends. We have a mutual understanding as the sky is always blue, which somehow attracted each other. Girls were so jealous of me but who cares.
"Hey, Riya!" My friend Claire approached me and gave me a warm hug. "Girl you look so beautiful, no doubt he will go onto his knees the moment he sets his eyes on you." She teased and I blushed red as a tomato.
"Come on!" I wailed that shut her mouth for good. We both walked together while she was changing the topic one by one and I listened to it half hearty until it ended in the previous day encounter with that boy Kayish.
"Not now Claire," I warned when she was about to start the conversation about Kayish and his kiss. Still, she is into that incident, never shut her mouth once and I am tired of zipping her mouth.
"Okay bye. My Romeo has arrived." She waved looking at someone and gave me a quiet peck on my cheeks before running away. "Silly girl." I shook my head and started to walk towards the hallway.
When I saw Dylan talking with his friends near the locker, I almost forgot myself as I was shut by the spell. Adjusting my dress, decided to have a small chit chat, I approached the group. "Hey, Dylan." I called his name. Immediately, his head turned around to see me and I was mesmerized by the way how he looked like a real prince charming.
Once he saw me, he completely froze on the spot like I pour an ice cube on his face. His Green eyes lingered through my body up and down which made my cheeks flush like a tomato for the second time. Oh, God! I am blushing again.
"Riya, you look amazing. I bet no one would be more beautiful than you. I feel sorry for them." He exclaimed.
"Shut up Dylan!" I playfully hit his arm. "Heeeehh." With a sheepish smile, he hooked my arm and led me further.
"Shall we go?" He asked, his mesmerizing beautiful eyes are solely on me.
Where? I wanted to ask him but no word came out of my mouth as to telling me to keep quiet, so to obey my superior thoughts, I only nodded my head.
I know he has a surprise for me and I don't want to spoil them by asking a bizarre question. By holding each other's hands we walked towards our destination and shortly after I could realize, we both reached the auditorium where the celebration is going to start, where the bunch of students was already gathered.
He then dragged me towards the stage and grabbed the mic from the guy who was rehearsing.
"Hey, guys!" He started to shout to get the attention of all the students. "In this beautiful moment, I want to confess something. No, I want you to be the witness of my heart confession in front of everyone," He said looking at me while I was grinning at him. Hearing his declaration, all the students started to cheer up jovially and I can't stop my heart which is beating faster than I could count, because I know what will come next.
He kneeled in front of me, took my right hand, and planted a soft kiss on it, he then stared right into my eyes and asked me the sweetest thing I'm dying to hear tonight. "Will you be the honour of my girlfriend?" He asked in such a romantic way. I recorded every scene in slow motion into my mind that made my heart goes to extremely happy.
'Yes!' I wanted to scream but even before I could open my mouth, a horrible sound interrupted our sweet moment. In an instant, a video was started to play on the screen, not giving us enough time to confront the psycho who ruined our sweet moment.
"Argghhh!!!" A loud scream coming from the screen got everyone's attention, which I can easily guess, belongs to the girl who seemed to be in labour pain. But I realised I was wrong as it didn't meet any kind of my hypothesis when I spotted her face. She looked terrible than the pregnant lady who would ready to pop the child out, and a boy who was standing in front of her was holding a leash in his hand whose back was facing us.
And the worst thing is he, the son of a moron, was hitting the girl frequently while the girl was begging for him to stop. Finally, she fell on the floor, unconsciously; her body was covered with new bruises.
That heartless moron! Who the heck he thinks he is?
My anger subsided and a pure terror crept through my body when he turned around just to show his pretty face. Since no one predicted the evil, we all let out a loud gasp. I covered my mouth and the thick tears slipped down my eyes.
I can't believe this.
The boy standing in front of her is Dylan, the Angel faced devil. I looked at him with wide eyes while he was giving a murderous look to the person who was now on the stage holding a remote in his hand.
I think he played the video.
I looked at the girl clearly and a gasp escaped from my mouth which I coated it quickly.
The girl's name is Jasmine Rose who's a first-year student here but transferred to another college a week ago. She was known for her kind heart and innocent.
But all these days this idiot has abused her and made her leave the college. The thinking of what he did to her brought a sick to my stomach. All of a sudden, I feel sick and wanted to throw up.
Multiple scenarios were started to Play into my mind. How? Why? When? What would have happened if the boy hadn't revealed the true identity of him? Of course, I will be in the same position as her.
I let out a long sigh and without thinking I ran towards the boy who saved my life. I hugged him and his hand wrapped around my waist immediately. "Thank you so much." I could hear the rhythm of my heartbeat which is increasing rapidly ready to burst out anytime soon.
Once I looked at his face, my whole body went numb. Why him? I turned my heels and ran away where my feet were carrying. It is Kayish, the boy who got slapped by me and still trying to get my forgiveness.
It's been one month since the incident has happened and he is trying his best to seek my forgiveness in different ways like writing 'Sorry' on the Wall, giving a greeting card saying sorry inside, a beautiful red rose bouquet which was my favourite.
But all those days I ignored him like he never exists and walked away. I thought it was a drama he was playing around but today he saved my life from that bastard.
I don't know when I reached the ladies' restroom. Once I entered, I let all my pains out. Even though I didn't give him any chance to prove his guilt, he helped me to come out of the danger.
God!!
I stayed longer than necessary in the restroom and wiped all my tears with my hands and washed my face not bothering it will ruin my makeup. It's not worth shedding tears for that bastard.
After all, it's women's day and I need to be strong, that's why we celebrate this day, to remain strong and independent.
Once I walked out of the restroom, I banged into someone and was about to fall, but a hand grabbed my shoulder and steadied me. A cold shiver ran through my body when I felt familiar warmth in it. Of course, it's him, Kayish.
Once I looked at him I broke into tears and a sob escaped from my mouth. "Shh! It's okay. He is not worth it." He patted my shoulder in a comforting posture.
"I'm sorry," I whispered while looking at my feet ashamed of looking at his face. He lifted my chin with his hand and made me look at his ocean blue eyes which are directly looking into my soul.
"It's not your fault, Riya. You had nothing to do with this. It's not my intention to hurt you. Several times I tried to tell you about him but it's all gone vain. So I have no option from playing the video on the stage in front of everyone when he was about to propose to you. He doesn't deserve you." He wiped my tears with his thumb, somehow, I felt relaxed under his touch.
"Thanks, Kayish!" I said and pressed a smile on my face. "So--- that means we are friends now, right?" He asked. I can able to read confidence in his eyes, so not wanting to spoil his expectation I nodded my head.
"Okay! Let’s celebrate our friendship then." He flashed me a huge smile before dragging me out of the college campus not giving me any room for argument.
