chapter 3
Sara POV
I look around the huge pack ground, which is in a circular shape with a dirt path leading towards the pack house on the right side. The other road on the left side of it stops a meter away in front of the park that is made for kids to play and has different types of swings and slides. The rest of the area around the ground is covered by grass, with some houses built far away from this place and greenery to have complete privacy.
Then there is the part that I hate the most, the forest, which is directly on the opposite side of the dirt path leading to the pack house. As I keep looking around the field, my nostrils catch an odd scent.
I stop dead in my tracks and let my nostrils inhale the noxious smell. I instantly become completely stiff when I recognize the not-so-unrecognizable scent. However, everyone around me keeps laughing and preparing for the feast, unaware of the looming danger.
“Everyone who can’t defend themselves, GO TO THE BUNKERS, NOW. Patrollers, take the kids and pregnant women. I don’t want anyone to be left out. Five minutes is all you have. Hurry up.” I command, all the while my nostrils could feel the disgusting scent getting stronger.
I close my eyes as I take a deep breath to locate the exact distance of the source of the smell and open them a second later with fear gripping my insides.
“All the warriors, we are attacked by rogues and they will be here any second. I want you all to stand as a front line and not let any of them get past us till the bunkers are sealed. And one more thing, make sure to look out for each other. Am I clear?” I instruct with a controlled voice and then turn around towards the tree line knowing well that the enemy is seconds away.
A moment later, numerous brown wolves with blood red eyes emerge from the woods, their canines dripping with saliva while their muzzles have dried blood.
“You made a grave mistake by stepping foot on this land. You can still leave and no one would be harmed. But if you don’t leave, then the future consequences are on you.” I remark with authority and my bitchy tone, trying to distract them enough to buy us some more time to get everyone in the bunkers.
None of them retreated at my warning. Instead, they made a path for a brown wolf that was larger in size than the rest, and had a wolfish smirk with his eyes glowing red.
The brown wolf walks forward and stops in front of the rogues and shifts into his human form. He then proceeds to look at me straight in the eyes with the same smug smile. My eyes, on the other hand, do not waver or blink to make my point and authority known.
The man then rolls one of his shoulders to attract attention, but I have known these tactics long enough to not fall for them. I know he just wanted me to get distracted. Also, I am not interested to see him buck naked, for the love of god.
The unknown man finally understands what a waste of time it is and smirks once again as if he just won a whole deer as his dinner.
“We will leave if you agree to our one condition. I want this spunky redhead, your leader, to come with me without putting up a fight.” the rogue leader says while eyeing me up and down.
My anger skyrockets upon hearing the demand but I remind myself this is for the safety of my pack members. After all, I still need some more minutes.
“And why would you think so? You are the one who is in the wrong place and you demand that I go with you. Sounds ridiculous to my ears,” I reply cockily and tilt my head for added effect.
The rogue leader also tilts his head ready to answer but his eyes catch something at the back and his smirk turns into an angry snarl while fury burns in his icy eyes.
Meanwhile, all I do is mumble “Shit!” under my breath and mind link the patrollers to hurry up.
The leader finally interprets the whole set up and yells in anger. “You bitch! Now, not only am I going to kill these wolves but also I’m going to take you and make sure you get roughed up.”
As soon as the rogue leader utters the last word, all the warriors growl in anger while he laughs like a mad man.I have no choice but apart from trying to keep my cool and wait for the green signal from the patrollers.
A second later, I hear a “Done” in my mind link and an angry growl rips from my chest as I finally unleash my anger. “You bastard, you will pay for every word you uttered from that filthy mouth of yours. No one threatens the Blue Moon Pack and lives.” I roar with my canines on display.
“ATTACK!!!” I command my warriors and all of them shift one by one in sync ready to tear apart the rogues.
The rogue leader looks at me in amusement before shifting into his brown wolf form and howls, commanding his wolves to attack as well. Then like a robot, he starts running towards us.
I watch as the wolves start fighting with each other and rush to help the ones who are outnumbered.
I make a run towards a dirty brown wolf spotting our pack symbol, a black crescent moon, between his eyes. The wolf is already fighting four rogues and one more joins by the time I reach him.
I growl before lunging at the two wolves from a distance in my human form and extended claws and rip their heads with my bare hands. The other three ferociously growl at the loss before lunging at me, while I duck and claw out the intestines of one of them.
The other two rogues land on the ground in a heap. They then circle me while I observe them on full alert. As one of them lunges at me to clamp his canines on my neck, I extend my hand to hold his neck midway and start choking him to death while the other one takes this opportunity and slashes my arm. My grip does not loosen a bit.
As the wolf dies in my hand, I turn towards the last one and run towards it aiming for his heart.
As the fight continues, I can feel exhaustion taking over on some of the warriors but the rogues keep coming.
We have already killed around a hundred and yet there are another hundred fighting us. But the good thing is that no one has died from our side, yet.
As I was killing another of the filthy rogues using my claws and taking advantage of my human form, I receive a mind link. “Luna Olivia is not in the bunkers. She never got here.”
As I hear the news, my heart beat accelerates while my eyes search for the petite woman who has been a mother to the whole pack ever since she became the Luna.
Chapter 4Sara POVI choose not to inform the warriors because this news would be the very reason for their death as they will forget to save their own lives and would start searching for our Luna.
Chapter 5Alexander POVI stare out of the black tinted windows and watch the trees passing which are almost blurred due to the speed of our car. My mind wanders to my mate once again and soon I find myself lost in her tho
Chapter 6Alexander POV It’s been 30 minutes since we
Chapter 7Lucas POVWhen David said Sara was severely injured everything stopped for a moment, my breathing, my heartbeat, the surroundings blurred and the conversation faded in the background as I relive the god forsaken moment in the car once again in my head but this time instead of my breathing my heart beats pick up their pace.
Chapter 8Lucas POVI enter the room with Alex right behind me and look at the white walls before my eyes land on my baby sister, Sara. Even though I’m two minutes older than her, she is still a baby sister to me but the years have changed her so much and have shaped her into this strong female warrior who would sacrifice herself but won’t let anyone else die
Chapter 9Alexander POVI enter in my office and see everything as I left but more neat and organized. The mahogany desk has a stack of files on its right side and my laptop is placed in the middle with a paperweight on the left. The long book wooden book shelves on the left wall are all dusted and books are organized according to their usage. The swiveling black chair behind the desk and the other two office chairs on the opposite side are shinning black. The wall behind my swiveling chair is decorated by some landscape portraits. The glass wall opposite to the book shelves has black curtains draped while a long black couch is placed on the adjacent wall facing my desk.
chapter 10Lucas POVI retrieve my arm from Tyler’s arm and punch him straight in the face before holding both his arms and banging his head with mine. He tries to struggles to get out of my hold but nothing works for him because of my iron grip. I then tilt my head towards Alex and command David. “Take him to the dungeons and tie him up with silver chains. And he should not be able to escape from dungeons or you would be the one tied up David.”Alex shakes his head at the warning and waits for David to take Tyler out of the office. “Why would he do that? It’s illogical and suicide.” Alex voices out his dilemma once they both are out of earshot.
Chapter 11Alexander POVI watch Tyler for a brief moment before giving Adrian partial control and let the fun begin. “Cuff his hands, Leo.” I instruct Leo knowing well he’s in partial control. He walks to the table and picks up the leather handcuffs before walking towards Tyler, who steps back watching Leo. “Don’t, Tyler.” Leo commands making him freeze on his spot.He then cuffs him and brings back the little bag from the table. He looks at Tyler before unzipping the bag and long thick pointed needles greet our sight. I watch a confused Tyler looking at the needles while trying to decipher their use. I shake my head knowing well he won’t need to wait for long.
