Chapter 4: New Chapter of Life

Another side

.

.

.

Pravi was waiting for parents.

.

“Where do they leave, leaving all of us under Aarav’s Papa observation?”, She talked with herself.  At the same time, she heard the sound of car’s engine and started running toward the main door because she knew that her parents are here. And yes, she was right.

.

.

“Dad”, She shouted & jumped in near Sameer who picked her in his arms.

.

.

“Yes, my princess.”, Sameer smiled and kissed on her cheek.

.

.

“Who is he?”, Pravi immediately asked when she saw Aarvik, forgetting about her chocolate. She had never seen him before.

He is a guest.”, Sameer beat Mishty when he saw Mishty was about to give family details. “He will stay with us. Sorry, correction, we will stay in India because of him. So, technically we all be living together.”, He said sarcastically. Aarvik wanted to continue his studies in Army college. That’s why Mishty even said that they will stay in India until his education gets complete. What can he say on it if his wife finally did something against his wish?

.

.

“Hello,”, Pravi greeted Aarvik with a small smile on which Aarvik just stared at her.

.

.

.

“Aunty, can you please guide me to a guest room?”, Aarvik asked, completely ignoring Pravi’s Hello. Tears started welling in Pravi’s eyes and Sameer’s blood started boiling in rage..

“Sure.  You can take the 1st room from left.”, Mishty replied. “I will call you for the dinner shortly.”. Before Mishty could complete, her sentence Aarvik left from there.

.

“He is so rude. I don’t like him.”, Pravi started sobbing.

.

.

.

“Pravi”, Mishty took her in her arms. “Don’t cry, baby. Aarvik doesn’t want to be rude to you. It is just he is upset. “Now, go and play with your brothers. Okay?”, Mishty said, on which Pravi left from there. “Now. Please don’t start yelling at me. Even Aarvik is a kid. He needs time to adjust himself.”, Mishty murmured on which Sameer just glared here. “We are leaving for Mumbai tomorrow, right?”...“Hmm”, Sameer nodded....“The city where our story bloomed after marriage.”, Mishty said, remembering the old days, and that was enough to change Sameer’s mood.

No One POV

.

Even at the time of dinner, Aarvik was quiet. He replied only to those questions which were being asked by him normally. Neither he smiled nor he started any conversation from his side.  Both of Pravi’s brother didn’t mind much about Aarvik’s behavior because they were busy thinking about something else. Aarav & Mishty could understand Aarvik's situation that’s why they gave him some space but Sameer and Pravi had already created a bad image of Aarvik in their Mind.

.

.

The next day, Pravi with her brothers, parents, and Aarvik left for the Mumbai. At that time, this news was disclosed to kids that they will stay in India for a few years. Though Pravi was normal but both of her brothers were totally against it.

.

.

“Boys, can we talk about it later?”, Sameer said in a strict tone when he found that they have raised their voice in front of Mishty. Well, this kind of behavior is totally unacceptable. “And, say sorry to your mom, right NOW.”

.

.

“Sorry ma, Sorry mom”, Mishty heard from Eklavya & Daksh.

.

.

Shifting from one place to another was really a tough task. Mishty thanked the helpers of Mumbai’s bungalow that they had already brought all the essential which they will require in the house. She stared at her home closely. This the same home where she arrived after her marriage. All the helpers were almost the same.

.

.

“Why are you smiling, maa?”, Pravi asked when she caught her mother smiling for no reason.

.

.

“Nothing, sweetie. I am just reviving one of the amazing moments of my life.”, She said and started narrating a part of her story to her.

.

The next few days were hectic for Sameer, he couldn’t give much time to his work because of Aarvik’s college admission. After all, Aarvik was getting transferred in 2nd year of college, few formalities needed to fulfill, fees, books, and many more. Though he didn’t like Aarvik much, but he cannot change the fact that Aarvik is his responsibility now.

.

.

“Let me know if you need anything, Aarvik.”, Sameer said while driving without looking toward him. He too had been to college but not in the Army college. As far as he knows the Army’s life is disciplined and quite hard to survive compared to civilians.

.

“Hmm”, Aarvik hummed in response.

.

“I mean that line, Aarvik. I can’t say that we will have the bond in which you can consider me as your friend, but you can consider me as your guardian.”. Aarvik heard that keep his mouth shut because he has nothing to say in return.

.

.

A week later,

.

.

“Is it important for you to leave?”, Mishty couldn’t help and felt sad that Sameer is leaving for London.

.

“Yes, sweetheart. I just can’t leave the work there planning nothing. Even Aarav bhai is staying in Kolkata for a time being. Someone has to be there to sort out everything. We took all these decisions in a hurry that not a once this came in mind that we cannot shift all our business here at a once.”

.

“So how much time it will take to get this problem sorted?”

.

“More than a year.”, Sameer replied. “But don’t worry, once Aarav bhai will be back to London, I will come back here”, He said to cheer Mishty’s mood. But seems like it would not work. She started feeling guilty for not listening to Sameer, even for a once. She wanted to give a wonderful future, protection & a family to Aarvik but at a cost of staying away from her own husband seems quite tough. “Mishty, don’t feel bad for your decision, okay?”, Sameer said, assuming what Mishty could think right now. “Whatever you are doing for Aarvik. I am proud of you for that.

.

“Really?”

.

“Yes”, Sameer was about to kiss Mishty but Aarvik started coughing to gain their attention, and indirectly he wanted to make them realize that he is in Kitchen. “I so hate him for this.”, Sameer mumbled, getting irritated while Mishty ‘s cheeks turned into crimson red because of Embarrassment.
