The war between humans and demons didn’t break out because demons needed a better place to live, it broke out because a certain demon wasn’t satisfied with the way things were and how they lost one of them, because of humans, who didn’t want to help them.
The one who lead the demons to war mixed her personal vendetta against humans and convinced the demons to go with her, under the reason that they deserved more than the humans and needed more than just hell, and that person was Hella.
Hella who was loyal to Nick, blamed the humans for his fall from grace, after Natasha’s supposed death, he wasn’t the same and stayed in the human world to morn her death for years, without ever stepping a foot back to hell and since he didn’t want to come back, she decided to go to him and prepared the demons for the war, to take over and retrieve their king.
