Backstory

  “What do we do now?” Lennon asked, still trying to get some personal space and finally getting it, when Maya noticed how suspicious they looked and the cameras pointed at them.

  “Run and wait for someone to call you, because you must have a mana.....”

  Speak of the devil and he will show up, that’s exactly what happened, well not exactly, nobody showed up but someone called, the phone they have rang and the caller id is husband’s manager.

  They now know the owner of the phone, it’s Maya and she has to answer, because the person has been calling for the past ten minutes now, and as she was about to pick up, Noah told her he has to go to the bathroom, saving her in the process from the possible embarrassment, that’s going to occur when answering the call from someone she doesn’t know, so she told Lennon to answer as she ran away with Noah, not ready to have any confrontations.

  Lennon sighed and answered, but before he could say anything, his ears were blasted by a loud voice, screaming at him or rather at Maya.

  “You ungrateful bitch! I told you to never reveal your relationship with him or show that child of yours, you are destroying his career! And I will make sure that yours won’t survive either, I kept the secret of you cheating and stealing but now, you will see.” The manager hang up, as Lennon was staring into distance, shocked and amazed by how dramatic this is, realizing that their life wasn’t going to be easy.

  When Maya returned, the both of them, decide to flee from the place, before getting attacked by paparazzi and fans, but it was too late, because as soon as they walked out of the café, cameras flashed in their faces and reporters asking them questions about their relationship and Noah; Maya held Noah as fast as she could, hiding his face in her shoulder, so he doesn’t get destroyed in the crowd and get his face recognized, while also looking down to hide her own face. Lennon tried to protect them as much as he could, pushing through the crowd and hugging Maya sideways, to protect her.

  As they reached the car, Lennon opened the door for Maya then hurriedly went to the driver’s seat, as some reporters were banging on the window, scaring Noah in the process, they had to get away as fast as they can.

  “We messed up.” Maya said, tightly hugging the shivering Noah, as she told him it was okay and that nothing happened.

  “Really badly.” Lennon added, sighing and thinking of their next step on how to fix this. If he had the choice, he would quit being a celebrity, because it’s not something he is really passionate about, but the original person must me under a contract so he can’t possibly that, at least not until he talked to someone, like that angry manager.

  Once they reached home, Maya stayed with Noah in the living room, to calm him down and watch tv with him, to make him forget about what happened, while Lennon went to their bedroom, to try and find anything useful for them.

  A few hours later, Lennon went downstairs, to find Noah sleeping in Maya’s lap while she was taking pictures of him. He tapped on her shoulder and gestured her to follow him to the kitchen; she carefully put Noah’s head on a pillow and followed Lennon.

  “What is it?” Maya whispered softly, to not disturb Noah’s nap.

  “I found something, things actually. Information about the couple and their life, it took me a while to read everything and understand everything but I will summarize it for her, they are both scumbags who didn’t care about Noah, Lennon Freya, aka me, aka the husband, is a superstar who only cared about his fame and money, Maya Freya, aka you, aka the wife, cheated on her husband with different guys and will use the money her husband gave her, to spend on their child, on herself and neglected him, leaving him alone in the house, with little to no food and no source of love, while the husband was ignoring the fact that his son was malnourished and neglected, because he was busy in his job and being an actor and everything.” Lennon said and even though, he said a lot, that didn’t cover half of the things those two did to Noah, or the misery he was living.

  “What a horrible couple, one beats the other to how bad they are.” Maya commented, bitter in the heart, wanting to kill that Maya and that Lennon because they were the ones who did this, if they can’t be responsible enough to have a child, why have it in the first place? Use protection!

  “I forgot to mention, the wife only got pregnant to have him marry her, she only married the husband for his money. They were having an affair and since the husband cared about his reputation, he married her, to shut her up and hide them in this house, never revealing anything to the public.” Lennon said, making everything clear for Maya.

  “Well, that explains everything.” Maya rolled her eyes, on how cliché this is, every male lead backstory is the same, but why does Noah have to suffer for a stupid female lead to heal him when he is older? Why can’t he have a normal childhood like everyone else? When reading the stories, she always feel bad for the characters that have that kind of life, it makes her cry and want to do something about it, this time she can and she will. “What now?” She asked, all she want to do is take care of Noah but they have to take care of the scandal they created, to give Noah the best environment to grow up in.

  “I made a plan. My file has everything, I can go to the company and explain everything to them, make some excuses and give some lies, since nobody knows about this other than the manager. You stay here with Noah and whatever you do, don’t get out.” Lennon said and Maya nodded, finding the best solution for now.

  Before he left, he gave her, the wife’s purse and phone, he found in the bedroom, so that if Noah gets hungry, she can order take out. “Good luck.” Maya said, at the entrance, smiling at him, as he smiled back and thanked her.
