Desperate

  Lennon got the location to the company, he is working under, from the internet, and as he parked the car, he looked for the entrance when he suddenly heard someone bang on the car’s window, it was a girl, screaming at him for cheating on her, making him realize that news ran faster than electricity, so the news about his wife and son is already out, and made him also think that he had a girlfriend, that he didn’t know about and lied to, while in fact the girl was merely a fan, who felt entitled to Lennon, as if she owned him and he was her boyfriend.

  As he was about to step out of the car and apologize to her for apparently cheating on her; two men in a black suit walked up to the car, and told the lady to step away before they use force and when she didn’t, one of them held her hands and held her, while the other opened the car for Lennon so he can get inside the company, to get away from this crazy woman.

  “Sir, please hurry up.” The guard said, as Lennon was staring at the girl weirdly, while she was struggling and cussing at him, for betraying her trust, and at everyone around her, even the crowd that gathered around, whispering about her behavior, thinking; ‘Why would someone embarrasse themselves like that, she has the option of leaving but she chose to still try and get to me.’

  The girl didn’t care she was being stared at, she only cared about getting Lennon’s attention and she did, which was something that pleased her but it wasn’t good enough for her, she still needed him to become hers, that’s the only thing that will make her satisfied.

  After getting escorted inside the company, Lennon was asked to go to the CEO’s office, as he was being called by him and two of his lawyers, for the scandal; the guards that showed up were sent by his manager, after he got the notification about Lennon’s location, because he has a tracker on him, that tells him every time he changes locations, for safety issues and for the trouble Lennon have caused in the past.

  “What have you done? After all of these years, you want to ruin your career? For what, a bitch and her son?” The head of the company shouted, as soon as he saw Lennon enter his office, Lennon was his cow money, even though he had other celebrities under him, none them were as famous as Lennon, none of them made him as much money as Lennon did, he was important, so important in fact that he won’t let him ruin his own life for a money whore.

  “That’s my wife and my son, please respect them and I don’t see why are you exploding at me like this, yes, it’s an issue but just because I was seen in public with her, doesn’t mean people would stop being my fans and if they do, then be it, it doesn’t matter.” Lennon said, treating the matter as if it was nothing, because for him, this career wasn’t something he wanted to pursue, and he is sure than Lennon, the original one, has enough money for him and Maya and Noah to live, so why bother with it?

  He would continue being an idol or an actor, or whatever it is, even if it means he doesn’t win money, it’s the job he has in this world and he is willing to give it his all, or at least that's what he had in mind, for now, the future will be far away from what he thought his life would be in this world, but it will surely be different from what his life was, if that wasn't already obvious.

  “It does matter! Do you think after the news gets out, anyone will go to your concerts? Go to the theater to watch your movies? No! You will become a nothing overnight because of a stupid mistake. Articles are being written about your marriage and the possible cause of it and why you hide it, do you know what that means? It means your career is going downhill.”

  “It won’t, and why would people assume it’s my wife and son? Why not make it as if they are a distant relatives of mine who needed help and came to me?” Lennon suggested, thinking that if he helped, the CEO would screaming and give him a break, and luckily he did.

  “I....That’s a brilliant idea! Ryan, see if any articles have came out about the issue and talked bad about it, sue them for fraud and wrong information, and pay a couple of magazines, to write about Lennon helping his family and being there for them.” Ryan, the CEO and head of the company said, his face not scrunched down anymore, after getting the good news, that Lennon’s career will not only be saved, but also highlighted and his reputation would be evaluated and seen better.

  “Yes sir, I will work on it.”

  “Good, and Li, arrange some interviews for Lennon so he can talk about it and how it affected him mentally, that his fans doubted him.”

  “You got it.”

  “And Lennon, you go home and stay there, don’t go out unless it’s very urgent, if you need anything call me.”

  Lennon walked away, after the discussion was over and walked to his car, along with a guard, but before he got inside the car, someone called out for him, an intern that got him, the script he asked for last week; Lennon thanked the intern, which was weird for the latter, because Lennon never, ever, thanked or said sorry to anyone, no matter who they are, that’s his trade mark and he kept it on, for years, so what happened now? What changed?
