Chapter 11 : The 'Jerk' Boyfriend
He took me to the cafeteria.
That was his definition of someplace nice, huh.
Laurent has better taste then him, even the ice-cream parlour that he chose was of a good quality. Not to compare bit Michael had always been a penny pincher, even though he lacked nothing.
Big house, big cars and house staff running around at his beck and call. And yet, he had me pay at many occasions when we went out. I used to think it was normal but now that I think of it he would always order expensive dishes and when it was his turn to spend he would get simple thing, all his bad qualities were surfacing only now.
"What is it?" I asked sitting opposite to him on the table. My leg was bouncing in anticipation.
"What? I can't talk to my girlfriend?" He chuckled and reached out to hold my hand, I tried to smile but today it didn't reach to my eyes like it usually did in his presence.
