I dived into work headfirst. Why? Because it helped me concentrate on everything else besides the pain I felt. It was a continuous cycle, day in and day out. I waited patiently for the pain to dull, but it never did. Time was meant to heal all wounds but how much time would I need. There was also another thing I had been patiently waiting for. It had been three days since my body had recovered and I had woken up and yet my heat hadn't settled in. There were still a few more days.
