Forty One

Faith woke up earlier than usual. It was more like she had no sleep at all. No matter how much she tried and rolled on the bed she found very comfortable, she could not bring herself to have a peaceful sleep without tearing up. She just wished she could lace her fingers on the exact thing that was happening to her, but too bad. She could not. 

She got dressed and when it was time to go to her boss, she hesitated. She did not want to go there just to get her day more ruined. It was bad enough. But did she have a choice? She heaved a long sigh and started walking into the main house. Very soon, she would be free. She would be dropping her resignation letter very soon and would be liberated from him and the pains he had been giving her.
