Chapter 04

AUTHOR'S POV

Anastasia was staring outside the window of her father's private jet. The fluffy clouds they were floating on, were enchanting her and diverting her mind from reality. She had made such long plans.

Plans that included, her escape from the clutches of her father...

Plans that included, her starting over her life anew...

Plans that included, her forgetting about her past, Her so-called family, that she hated with all her heart...

Plans that included, that she will never see her father again...

But life and Fate! They were cruel.

When you make plans, Fate laughs on you, because Fate had already made a plan, that you have to follow at any cost. When the fight is between a Person and Fate, the person is more likely to lose in all situations.

Fate is something, you must accept! But for Ana, if her fate was to be caged by her own father, then she was going to fight till the end, but never give up.

If there was no way out of it, she was going to make one, but she was never going to give up. She was never going to give in to her father...

A man, she hated and feared at the same time...

A man, she couldn't stand the sight off and the feelings seemed to be mutual...

Sighing to get rid of all the heavy thoughts, she relaxed back in the comfortable seat and unconsciously her eyes met Jackson's eyes, who had been observing her from the moment he had forcefully took her from her apartment.

They were friends once...They cared about each other once...She used to call him, her escape...They had played together in the childhood and now? She could not even recognize him. She couldn't believe, that he was the same child she had always relied on; in her childhood. The child, who couldn't bear seeing her hurt and crying...But who was he now? She wondered, as she stared at his blank face.

Ana had pleaded, begged and even struggled with all her might against him, to not take her back to that hell...but the only thing she heard in return was his robotic reply, that he was here to take her back on her father's order.

That's all he was and that's all he was ever going be now...A robot, who was programmed by her father...A robot, who had no feelings, emotions, memories or sentiments...A robot, who only followed orders...That's how her father liked people to be.

Getting uncomfortable at her own pathetic state, she turned her face to look outside again. Why was life like this? That was the only unanswered question for Ana.

For the world, she was the eldest daughter of William Adams, the daughter he had with his first Wife; the wife who he had truly loved according to people. A man who had married her second wife, just to give a mother to Ana.

He was the so-called billionaire of their country. A man, who supposedly lived a white collar life...A man, who's record was so clean, that even people wondered, if he was a God walking among them. Ana had always laughed at those idiots, who were too easy to fool. They were so stupid, that they really believed everything, they wanted to believe.

If only people knew what he was really like, then they would have called him Satan instead of a God.

“ We will be reaching there in 30 minutes! ” Jackson announced in the same robotic tune, that he used. Ana's heart trembled at the thought of seeing her father again. Why did he even call her back? She didn't ask about this to Jackson, as she was too busy in thinking of ways to escape.

“ Why did he call me back so suddenly? My result is not out yet! ” Ana questioned in a neutral tone, trying to match his coldness. The friend she was trying to find in him earlier due to the sudden panic, was not him...She knew it and she was not going to act pathetic anymore. She was supposed to be acting like the so-called pampered princess she was now or she would have to face consequences, that were not too favourable at all.

“ An enemy had started to destroy our territory...He had trespassed many times and killed many of our people quite...brutally! Your father called you back for better protection ” Jackson infromed in the same robotic tone. An enemy, he said? How weird! Ana pondered over the same thing. Who had the guts to go against the So-called God, William Adams?

“ Who has the guts to go against the so-called God? ” Ana sneered at Jackson, amused that someone was going against her father.

Jackson squinted his eyes at her and showed a human response for the first time in a while, making Ana sure, that she had managed to provoke him, but his expression's turned back to neutral in a second.

“ Beast! ” Jackson deadpanned, getting irritated by all her questions already.

“ Beast? Who is he? ” Ana inquired, interested in the topic now. She really wanted to know who had managed to scare his father enough, that he had called her back.

“ No one knows! ” Jackson shrugged his shoulders, still keeping a straight face.

“ What do you mean by... no one knows? ” Frowning, Ana looked in Jackson's eyes.

“ No one has ever seen him and no one knows him. Those who have seen him are either his loyal people or they are six feet underground...” A shiver ran up Jackson's spine, remembering about the mutilated bodies he had seen a few days ago. The bodies of their people, killed by Beast. He had witnessed all kinds of brutality in his short life span, but not that kind of ruthlessness in his whole life.

“ Interesting...” Ana whispered to herself, as she thought about the person who had risen against her father.

“ I wonder, if I am ever going to see him! ” Ana mused to herself, unconsiosuly blurting out in a loud voice.

Jackson came back from his memory lane and glared at Ana with a serious look, scaring her. Why did he look angry all of a sudden?

Unfastening his seatbelt, he got up from the seat and leaned over her seat, placing his hands on the armrests beside her, as she pressed back in the seat; gulping. He was really scaring her now.

“ I have a hunch that he will come for you soon, Anastasia and the day he does...He is never going to leave you alone! ” He whispered, staring in her eyes with a serious look. It seemed like, he knew something. Ana gulped, as she stared back at him. This was after a long time, that he had called her by her full name.

He leaned in closer, until he was just a few inches away, “ Just so you know...” He trailed off as his eyes travelled from her eyes to her lips gulping, as he forced himself to look back in her eyes.

“ He is far more worse than your father! ”

Beast sounds like he’s not even human! What happened with her use to be friend? Has he just become her fathers drone, feeling nothing just there to obey?!
