"I felt like murdering him so he won't have that smug grin on his face!"

Natalie frowned when she noticed how her friend's eyes twinkled with laughter.

"It's not funny, Lexi!"

Lexi raised her hands in mock surrender, "I'm sorry but dang, that shit was savage!"

Natalie glared at her while Lexi shrugged.

"I mean that's a nice way to greet your boss," Lexi giggled, "but it's the first time I've seen you so worked up over a guy."

"Focus, Lexi!" She snapped, "I've been given an ultimatum at work and Chloe doesn't seem to be helping matters."

Lexi frowned, furrowing her brows in surprise, "Chloe is your boss kid?"

"Yeah, but her name is the least of our worries!" Natalie snapped.

"Oh no, the name is the beginning of wisdom," Lexi shook her head in disagreement.

Natalie gave her friend a weird look, "I remember that's not how it goes in the scripture."

"Not important!" Lexi screamed, "What's your boss's name?"

"Dante," Natalie replied still glaring at her.

"As in Dante Rodrigo?" Lexi asked.

Natalie noticed how her friend was trying to hide her excitement.

"I dunno," Natalie replied with a small frown.

She was surprised when Lexi grabbed her laptop and turned it on. Going straight to google and typing furiously on the keyboard till she saw a familiar picture on the screen of the laptop, his familiar steel-blue eyes.

"Yes, that's my boss," she said then narrowed her eyes at Lexi, eying her suspiciously, "How did you know?"

Lexi made a fainting motion then jumped up and down squealing and yelling, "Oh my freaking bananas! Oh, my freaking bananas!!"

Natalie waited till her friend had calmed down before she asked her the question on her mind.

"Who the hell is Dante?"

If looks could kill, she'd be twelve feet under with the dagger stare Lexi threw her way.

"Please tell me you know Dante Rodrigo." Lexi made a motion of pleading and clasping her hands together.

"Is that the full name of my asshole boss?" She asked confused.

Lexi made a gasping sound. "Look. At. The. Screen!"

Natalie rolled her eyes at her friend's outburst and fixed her eyes on the screen.

She began reading every word of it. Dante Rodrigo was the grandson of the world business mogul—Alaric Rodrigo—and Dante was one of the top five America most eligible bachelors—after his wife's death—having over a billion dollars company in America and other European countries, some African and Asian countries.

In all, she had just clobbered the head of a man worth more than her entire existence and she thought her life couldn't get more complicated.

Well, he might be a rich stuck-up asshole but once upon a time she'd been like him too but no one needed to know that.

"Daddy!"

Natalie took a deep breath as she stared at the annoying six years old brat and the mess she had made in the kitchen.

"No daddy is coming to your rescue, you must clean this up!" She snapped at the brat.

Chloe glared at her. Natalie knew she had intentionally spilled hot chocolate on her spotless white shirt and spilled the rest on the kitchen floor now she was calling her father.

"What's all the ruckus this early morning?"

Natalie groaned when she heard Dante's sharp voice heading in the direction of the kitchen.

Chloe gave her a smirk then began to cry. Natalie wondered how the kid comes up with all these crazy ideas.

"Why are you crying, Chloe?" She saw Dante out of the corner of her eyes pick her up. She ignored them and continued packing Chloe's lunchbox.

"D-daddy," Chloe stuttered in a teary voice.

Natalie sighed. She could almost see Chloe staring in a hit movie on Netflix.

"Hush, baby," Dante said in a soothing voice.

Suddenly, she felt an intense heat at the back of her neck. Turning around she saw Dante glaring at her.

"Why is my daughter crying on her first day in school and why is she covered in hot chocolate?"

Natalie massaged her temples. "She's faking her tears and she poured chocolate on herself."

Chloe intensified her wails. "She's saying I'm seeking too much attention!"

"That's enough, baby. Natalie is gonna apologize to you," he said in a stern voice.

Natalie frowned. "I didn't do anything..."

"Now!"

One look at his clenched jaw Natalie sighed, out of the corner of her eyes she could see Chloe hiding a small smirk.

Hmmph, devil's spawn!

"I'm sorry, Chloe." The evil spawn smiled at her and she quickly added, "your dad is pampering you too much."

She hid a triumphant smirk as both father and daughter gasped staring at her.

She would teach them some manners and make them realize she wasn't like other nannies, she smiled relishing that thought.

After Natalie had succeeded in getting rid of father and daughter, she had the house all to herself and she proceeded on exploring the house not knowing where Lee had disappeared to.

She started from the garden she had seen from her window and gasped at how beautiful the garden was. It was filled up with different types of flowers ranging from white roses to red roses and lilies. She loved flowers but hated how fragile it was although she admired rose flower for having a thorn.

She went deeper into the garden and soon got lost in the wildflowers but she wasn't inclined to leave.

Lying on the ground, she closed her eyes till she felt a shadow. Opening her eyes she came face to face with dead black eyes.

A scream tore from her throat as she jerked up trying to get away from the lifeless eyes but got grabbed by the hand.

"I told you to stay away from here forever!" The voice shrieked grabbing her by her ankle.

The voice was oddly familiar but Natalie couldn't see the face because it was covered in a hoodie but the body and voice told her it was a man.

"Let me go!" She shrieked aiming a kick with her free leg but he easily grasped her other leg.

A feeling of deju vá filled her as she remembered the last time she was dragged like this. They had been dragging her to her death.

Another scream ripped from her throat and the man was suddenly tackled to the ground by...

"Lee?" She called surprised. He was pining down the man trying to probably murder her while flashing her a smile.

"Are you alright, Natalie?" He asked concern flashing in his eyes.

"I guess so," she replied standing up and smoothing her dress.

"I'm sorry about my brother, he's like this sometimes plus he's not used to strangers," Lee apologized while still holding him down.

"Your brother?" Natalie asked confused.

Lee scratched his head awkwardly before standing up from the man. "Please go back to your room Leo, and refrain from scaring Natalie."

The man cast her one last dead look causing a shiver to run down her spine and he was gone.

"Your brother is uhm...very strange," Natalie commented as they walked back to the main house.

Lee threw his head back and laughed. "I know he's creepy, Natalie."

Natalie shrugged, "I guess you're right."

Lee laughed. "I know you have questions so ask them."

Natalie shrugged. She did have some questions like why did he drag her farther into the garden?

Lee shrugged. "Leo has been unwell for a while now and he refused to see a therapist so he just stalks around my house."

Natalie frowned. She had never seen or heard anything about this man from anyone least of all Lee.

"He said something to me," she muttered.

Lee waved it off with a laugh. "Leo is just crazy that's all so don't let him bother you."

Natalie nodded as she realized they were out of the garden and now standing in front of the mansion.

"Thanks for coming to my rescue, Lee," she smiled at him.

He nodded then flashed her a grin, "Take care not to walk around alone, Natalie. The world is a dangerous place."

Once again, Natalie had a sense of foreboding as she watched Lee strode into the house.

She turned towards the garden and could have sworn she saw a pair of dark lifeless eyes staring at her. The ringing of her phone jolted her out of her thoughts and she frowned when she saw the unknown number on her phone.

Tapping the answer button she placed the phone on her ear.

"Hello," she spoke lightly.

"Ms. Tyson, there's been an accident!"
