Chapter 28

Tristan looked at the papers that Audrey handed him. She said it was a gift and he couldn’t believe she would actually give him stocks. He appreciates it but he rather wanted her to consider him as a friend… in the meantime. If that was the case, he could ask her out on dates ‘as a friend’ and they could spend more time together. That would be more than enough for him. However, it was also clear that she wanted to draw the line between them. He was saddened but he couldn’t just give up. He wanted to do his best for her… showing how he felt about her. So, even when he gets rejected in the end, he wouldn’t regret anything.

“I would have the same thing even if it wasn’t you,” Tristan said, looking at Audrey in the eyes. “I just couldn’t believe that of all people… It had to be you,” he continued and sighed. “That was dangerous.”
