Audrey left the room after bidding her goodbye to Tristan. She nodded at her driver who was waiting outside to escort her back to the car. “Did you enjoy your meal?” Audrey asked the driver who gleefully nodded at her question. “I see. I heard from Mother you have kids. Let’s drop by somewhere to get them some treats,” she said.
“Thank you, Miss Audrey.” The driver bowed slightly and smiled.
Audrey smiled back at him. Her mother-in-law would always praise how hardworking George was. George was recently hired as her driver but other than driving, he had a passion for gardening. Since Mrs. Vargas loved to tend to the garden when she had free time, the two got along well together.

The sound of doorbell kept ringing for minutes. Anybody could tell the one who was ringing it was too impatient for the house owner to open the door. However, neither of them wanted to give the other what they wanted. The house owner wished for peace of mind and yet he refused to do anything about his ringing doorbell, giving him an endless headache as she crouched on the sofa while hugging himself. On the other hand, the person outside the door had no plans of giving up until the door opens and let her in. With that said, the scenario continued for an hour and none of them had yet to give up.“Shan! Ah! This guy is wasting my time. “Do it yourself, Bastard!”Lucy glared at Shane when the latter started talking nonsense. She was willing to listen to his sentiments but didn’t promise she would give him good advice. Besides, Shane’s problem could be easily resolved. All he had to do was to quit his showbiz career and ask for Audrey’s forgiveness for life. Sometimes, she wanted to tell him to do that but was also afraid he would follow her advice and still fail. Lucy knew what Shane did to Audrey was too much. Even though she tried to talk to him about it before, telling him to let his wife know about his plan to avoid misunderstanding, he didn’t listen. The room was filled with fresh air, making Audrey smile. She decided to open the windows and let the air inside. Since the mansion was surrounded by a mini-forest her mother-in-law personally designed, she could take in a lungful of air without worry. She thought it would be good for Asher too. Days passed and Shane was back to work. After bawling his eyes out in front of his manager, he ended up fulfilling his newly accepted project. The matter with Stephanie had died down as the public interest shifted to the new talents of the year. Of course, there were still talks about him and Stephanie having a baby and the latter taking a break from Showbiz to focus on her motherhood but it wasn’t that much compared to before. Shane was relieved he was able to do what his company wanted despite causing a huge rift in his relationship with Audrey.
